    I have been a Balsam Hill customer for more than 10 years when I purchased my first Balsam Hill Christmas tree from them. Since that time I have made several more purchases over the years including several wreaths as well as Christmas trees. I have never had a problem with them before. Sadly, I must now file a complaint. On 2/12/25 I attempted to purchase a tree on sale for $2299 during their "President's Day Sale". I used my bank credit card and the first attempt was declined. I called my bank that confirmed that my bank will in fact approve this transaction. However, when Balsam Hill customer support attempted to process my order, the transaction was declined again. On 2/13/25 I attempted to place the order again since my credit card bank representative once again confirmed that there was no problem with my credit limit and the charge should go through. Again, I called Balsam Hill customer support and was told that the transaction was declined due to a "chargeback dispute" entered by my bank. I once again called the bank and was told that there was no chargeback dispute placed. What is the problem with Balsam Hill's system that it blocks transactions for no legitimate reason? Unfortunately I have now lost faith in Balsam Hill's business practices. They need to fix their computer system! Im sure there are others that must be having the same hassle that I am having and as a result, Balsam Hill is loosing sales. I do expect some sort of apology from Balsam Hill for the unnecessary trouble I have been put through. Thank you.

    Terrible customer service. This ********************** sells high end Christmas goods, but they dont stand behind their product. My prelit item lasted one season, when the item wouldnt work the next season I contacted balsam hill and was told this isnt under warranty. You can visit a store for help. They have 2 stores in the whole US and only one in the continental **. I unfortunately own a lot of items from this company and am just waiting for my Christmas trees to stop working and get zero help. Please dont waste your money! I am regretting the $1,000 tree I bought from them a few months ago.

    The lighting receiver stopped working, conveniently just past warranty. I have been asking for a replacement for a year now, at my cost, and they say they are out of stock. However they are clearly selling trees with the remote receiver.

    Ordered a tree from this company after Christmas last year. I went to put in up and didn't receive a stand. I wait for a stand and now realize I didn't receive my "welcome package". I don't even have a plug to plug in to an outlet. I called again and was on hold for a lengthy time again. They'll send me what I need, but will do nothing to expedite the process because they're busy from Black Friday. I could l care less about Black Friday--not my concern. I waited again for a supervisor and they will do nothing special to help me. This is my second purchase from this company and it will be the last.

    I purchased several thousand dollars of trees, ******* ,and reefs. and after a year all the products are bad burnt out bulbs, or the timer are bad. stay in all night... I called the company and they said they only have a 30 day warranty..stay away from this company.... horrible customer service

    Ordered a tree WITHOUT lights and it's fine, albeit kinda plasticky. We ordered a pre-lit ******* (2023) and it lasted one season (about one month of use). When we pulled it out the next season (2024) the lights no longer worked. After spending about an hour on it, changing bulbs and fuses, but to no avail, we wrote a bad review on the web site. **************** contacted us quickly and we exchanged several e-mails. They recommended we try the bulbs and fuses. Check! Done that! Eventually they offered a 10% discount towards a future purchase. What a joke. The time I'd spent e-mailing with them was worth more than that. The big box store *******s are about a third of the price. Go with them. Don't get sucked in by Balsam Hill's dreamy catalog.

    I paid $761 for a balsam hill Christmas tree ... Just 6 days later the price was reduced by $111. I contacted their customer service but ********************** refused to give me a price adjustment citing because I already used a coupon they can't do price adjustment. I think this policy is ridiculous and just really poor customer service. This left me with a terrible impression buying and dealing with balsam hill.

    I have not received my tree that I ordered two weeks ago with two day shipping. They can't even find the tree (its been released from the warehouse but no tracking number). I can't even cancel my order.

    Same as others - very expensive tree, lights faulty after 2 years of use - by 3rd year tree went up just after warranty. Tried to call them this year to troubleshoot and no help or parts can be provided. Customer support says sorry you will just have to re-light the tree yourself. Half of the lights on half of the tree fail and they think its the easy connect connector in the pole.

    Terrible company to do business with. Purchased 10 ******* and it came with a few dried flowers and pine cones It looks horrible. Called customer service and since I ordered it September 30 and today is November 29 they can do nothing. Great customer service.
