I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the current state of Quicken Classic and the apparent lack of an effective way to contact customer service regarding complaints.
As a loyal customer for many years, I have always been a strong advocate for Quicken, recommending it to others as the best solution for personal financial management. However, over the past couple of years, I’ve experienced a steady decline in product quality, and my frustration has reached a breaking point.
      The issues I’ve encountered include:
      - Unreliable downloads: Transactions frequently fail to sync, requiring time-consuming manual corrections.
      - Core functions no longer working as expected: Math errors during reconciliation and categorization glitches undermine basic financial tasks.
What’s most upsetting, however, is the complete lack of accessible customer service to address these concerns. It feels impossible to escalate complaints or receive meaningful assistance. As a paying customer, I expect better support for a product that plays such a critical role in managing my finances.
I urge Quicken to address not only the product issues but also the glaring gap in your customer service channels. Quicken has long been a trusted name in personal finance, but these shortcomings are tarnishing its reputation.

Think twice before investing in this software. When I bought it, you just purchased it used it-end of story. Then, they decided they wanted $$ from you EVERY YEAR to continue to use the software. The Quicken Deluxe subscription service has increased 20% in the last year. The cost went from $59.99 to $71.99 after having increased the previous year from $51.99 to $59.99. This is an increase of 38.5% in two years time. Greedy, greedy California people...I guess they need to keep increasing the price so they can keep living in their corrupt state. This is not to mention that one feature of the software was broken for months and months. (recently fixed)I understand that we are experiencing inflationary times, however, the inflation rate at its highest was ~9% and is currently ~3.3%. This is extreme greed and is price-gouging of their customers. This is not to mention that once your "subscription" has expired, they splash a large banner along the top and along the right side of the screen taking up valuable screen real estate and making the application (that you bought) essentially unusable for those that choose not to be taken hostage. I intended to file an actual BBB complaint against this company, however, after answering the preliminary questions, the BBB recommended that I enter a comment instead...WOW..so disappointing - this world we live in today. Actively looking for an alternative software...I wonder what the subscription service will be next year???

In order to USE the software you purchased, you must buy a membership subscription. If you fail to buy the subscription (which provides - what? nothing I have ever or will ever use....) you will have 1/2 of your screen taken up by their message that your subscription is expired. This is fraud! I was not told I would incur this cost every year. The old Quicken program that I could not transfer to this new computer worked without this cost since 2017. So this is a new design that should be illegal in my opinion. I checked for options to Quicken that I could use. There really is no option. This is a monopoly - again should be illegal. Is anyone looking at this issue? We, the customers, need support to stop this bogus charge.

They sell you a subscription and once you have bought the software you MUST renew the subscription or you cannot use the software. This is not ethical. I do not use any of the features besides simply entering my bank information manually. Now i have to pay them $47/ year to access my records. They put a banner on top that tells you renew to continue to use the siftware and unless I pay it wont even let me enter my transactions manually. I cannot export the data. They have got your data file and are holding it prisoner to get your renewals. I paid for the software, I should be able to access it. I have no interest in their additional update services. This is unethical.

Bought Quicken deluxe a few years ago, software all paid for, but every year they want me to sign up for $69.00 and if I do not sign up they fill my screen with all kinds of road blocks and pop *** to sign up again and make it very difficult to to use the program that I paid for and should not be held hostage to their service plan. I just want to be able to use my program with out service plan.****** off customer

I have used Quicken since the mid 90's, and have kept the program up to date. Past year or so they changed Bill *** and it was problematic, but I still renewed the "subscription". This year they wanted me to renew the subscription, but would not provide a cost (but wanted a credit card number). Multiple e-mails from the company telling me to renew, but no information as to the cost. I have opened up quicken and they have locked the system so that I cannot oopen my data, and the application locks up the computer.

Save your money and look at alternatives. They keep raising there prices and now charge an annual fee. The product works well but they are shady. Their sister company, TurboTax, just settled a huge lawsuit for charging hidden fees. Caveat emptor!
