It saddens me to have gotten to this point, given that I have personally known the owner of this business. I am extremely saddened about the circumstances this was left at. I hired this business back around March-April 2022 to be my weeding planner. I had to pay $600 as a deposit to hold the date and the event planning that was going to take place for my wedding around that time. However, circumstances changed and we were no longer going to move forward with the services, so since June 2022- March 2023 I have been constantly trying to get a hold of the business owner, I have left several messages and sent text messages and it wasn't until recently that his wife reached out to me thru his business phone to tell me the owner has deceased in July 2023. Now, given that I am now starting a family and have a baby on the way I wanted to see what are the possibilities of getting my money refunded. I have been trying to fight to receive if not all but at least some of the money back since the event services were never provided. I can't say I was dissatisfied because the event never took place but I am frustrated that his wife basically said she was unable to help me and if he owes other people money that she will not be able to help because she was not part of the business. Now, the website is still up and running, she didn't even have the dignity to close it given that he husband passed, so are they still operating business? The number is still the same and they even added a 949 number on their website. At this point I do feel like I have been scammed or robbed and I clearly don't know how to deal with all this. Its going on a year since I tried collecting my money back. I only want what was fair. I am not fighting for something that is unreasonable. I simply need help to get back the $600 that I Zelle the owner last year. I understand the wife suffered a loss, and so have I along with other customers, but as a business person I believe I have every right to get refunded
