    Walked inside the ******** store today with my boys (12 and 17) to window shop. I haven't taken my kids to this place since Covid. We thought it would be nice to check it out to bring back good memories. I walked to the women's section while the two explored the men's. When I went to look for them, I saw my 12 year old standing by the door with 2 employees looking out. I asked where his brother was and he said they asked him to leave. Manager came up to me to tell me that it was a mistaken identity and that they asked my son to leave. His hat looked like the same hat of someone who came to the store two days ago and stole something. My son was nowhere to be found. I Called him to return and he was teary eyed. He wondered off the parking lot. The employees all surrounded him at the store aggressively and told him to leave. They also called the police. He was holding a shirt that he wanted to buy. He was told to put it back and yelling at him. The manager came to me and apologize. Their safety and security protocol needs to be reviewed. This is not the right way to handle it. My son was profiled and attacked over a hat. He grew up in Danville. Works for the city as a camp counselor. Has never gotten in trouble. The way in which this was handled was unacceptable.
