    We engaged INIZIO **** for application development with a defined scope of work set forth in a Statement of Work contract. However, INIZIO failed to deliver the work product as scoped.Be cautious and take consideration of several things based on our experience.1.We retained INIZIO to re-write a fully functional visual basic application in React Native;2.INIZIO required up-front payment;3.INIZIO hastily under-scoped the project and extorted an additional $2,850 from us under the pretext of completing the project. It was unethical and breached the COMPENSATION clause of our contract. But, we had already paid a $15K up-front fixed fee for the project, so we decided to accept INIZIO's demand;4.After extracting an additional $2,850, INIZIO did not complete the work as promised and again asked for more money to complete. We lost confidence in INIZIO's capabilities and its ability to deliver so we chose to end the project. We were left with a half-finished iOS application, although we contracted for an application to be fully functional across iOS, Windows, and Android. INIZIO relied on the calculation that it would cost us more money to litigate than what the court would ***** us for his breach of contract.5.INIZIO then withheld the unfinished work product hostage until we signed a new termination agreement. This constituted INIZIOs unethical attempt to mitigate its liability. This was a serious act of professional misconduct and directly infringed upon the RETURN OF PROPERTY clause in our contract. Withholding work and trying to impose a new termination agreement without mutual consent undermined the foundational principle of contractual integrity.We do not recommend working with INIZIO. But, be cautious if you do so. Don't pay up-front and require INIZIO to use GitHub to commit all of their work and code so that it is in your possession.
