  I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an issue I experienced with my vehicle registration renewal in 2023. Despite paying my renewal fees and the fact I was sent my newly updated registration and 2024 sticker, the *** has made a false claim in which they've sent me several very cryptic letters for "Demand For Payment by mail after I had paid for my registration stating that I submitted a "dishonored check" and that I owe $229 which is not true and by the mere fact I received my registration and plate sticker for 2024, is testament that all registration fees were paid for! I wrote to them on January 10, 2024 regarding this matter and I have yet to receive a response from the ***. I a made numerous attempts at reaching someone by phone in ********** and to no avail. I then proceeded to go to my local *** office to address the issue and I was greeted with incompetence and extremely rude and unacceptable behavior, and no hope for a remedy to this matter. I am at my whits end with these people and the level of incompetency that exists at the ***. My registration is due this month and I am unable to pay it as I haven't received a 2024 renewal letter by mail. The fact the *** is fraudulently attempting to extract fees from me that do not pertain in any way to my vehicle registration nor the amount that I usually pay annually which is $139 is absolutely criminal!!I have since discovered that many other individuals have reported a similar issue(s), where their payment information was inexplicably altered resulting in unwarranted penalties and late fees or have received these cryptic "Demand For Payment" letters by mail. This pattern suggests a systematic error or potential scam within the *** which needs to be addressed immediately.

  I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an issue I experienced with my vehicle registration renewal in 2022. Despite paying my renewal fee online using my banking account information, I received a demand for payment letter several months later, which included penalties and late fees.I meticulously inputted the correct routing and account numbers by copying and pasting directly from my bank account details, ensuring there were no errors. However, when I contacted the *** to resolve the issue, the agent provided routing and account numbers that were completely different from the ones I entered. These numbers were not only incorrect but also included letters, which is not typical for bank account information.I have since discovered that many other individuals have reported similar issues, where their payment information was inexplicably altered, resulting in unwarranted penalties and late fees. This pattern suggests a systematic error or potential scam within the ***'s payment processing system.

  This is my third time living in California and by far the worst experience with the *** in *********. The agent who waited on me was very congenial toward the male ahead of me. When it was my turn, the agent handed me a piece of dirty plastic when he gave me back my IDs, saying it had been on his desk for a couple of days and he didnt want it any longer?!? So? I was the trash receptacle because I am female? Totally inappropriate.
