    no details? Customer asked us for a basic tune and downpipes on his Mclaren. Mclaren is not exactly the most reliable car in the world. He blew up his transmission, asked us to detune the car after he purchased a new transmission. After Detune, customer complained that the car wasn't as fast and was shy some horsepower.. Yes after you asked us to re tune the car and take away the original pops and bangs and flames (to which he asked for) your going to have a little less power (you cant have it all, its a give some get some with air fuel and spark mixtures). Customer was happy.. Months later, car was misfiring (typical Mclaren issue after tuning) he took to another shop.. they put in the wrong coil pack and mismatched spark plug, We put in correct, problem fixed, customer left with car without paying and said he would pay if the problems were gone.. Customer drove the car home for 2.5 hours.. let us know problem was gone, he paid.. Customer kept asking why it's down on power.. again, when asked to take pops and bangs out of the tune, the car would have a little less horsepower. We have documentation of all the work, including screen shots of the customer asking us to retune the car after he broke his transmission. We went above and beyond for the customer, including him letting him take the car without paying to stand behind our work. Haven't heard from the customer in months, then he let us know he was going to sue us? Sounds like someone who bought a very unreliable used car and is trying to point the finger at our shop for this. If you know Mclarens, they are extremely unreliable and full of trouble. We have high star reviews for a reason. Sometimes people get in over their heads with their modifications and then have to point a finger for a shop to do exactly what they want.
