While I knew I had unclaimed property, I never got around to doing all the paperwork. PR&A contacted me through the mail, and I was skeptical at first, especially since they did not mention a fee. But a little research showed these guys were legit. I sent them the notarized authorization, and they got to work They always answered all my questions, twice over the phone, and a few emails. While the funds did not arrive as soon as I had hoped, they arrived far sooner than they might have. Very professional, and I highly recommend them.

I'm not sure if it's this company or another company using their letter head and address but they mailed us notification of unclaimed money due to 3,000 worth unwashed checks and said would charge 15% would give us remaining monies. We recieved another notification by mail saying Fina notice we need to pay the 15% up front this is where I felt a MAJOR red flag. So I observed all the documents they use Payne and Associates mailing address and contact information however on the envelopes they want you to send money to address: **** ** **** *** suite *** fort worth ***** ***** I looked this address up and it's an ADT home security service company. We gave these people our social security number and will be looking into further action please be careful guys this is not legit

Initially, I thought this was too good to be true. But when told that I have to pay nothing until I have the recovered funds in my account, I went ahead with the paper work. They were very pleasant to deal with and it was so simple. I got their 10% invoice and returned it with my check after I received the check in the mail.

This entire company is a scam. I submitted a claim through the Texas comptroller office. They reviewed my claim, approved it and put my check in the mail. A few days later I get a letter from PR stating they could help me retrieve the money for a fee $158.30......so I called the comptroller office and asked a few questions and they had no idea what I was talking about. I never signed or e-signed any paperwork from PR because it sounded funny from the beginning. They have an Austin, Tx phone number but a California address. Make it make sense please.

This company reached out to me asking for private information. They claimed my insurance company had been “unsuccessfully trying to contact me” and as a result had transferred money to a third party trust account that only Payne, Richard’s and Associates could release to me. I am in fairly regular contact with my insurance company and as you can imagine found this correspondence to be completely suspicious. Upon further investigation what they had written was completely false. My insurance company is completely unaware of them and had done no such thing. I would be very wary of any mail you receive from Payne, Richard’s and associates.

Very helpful. Time frames were accurate. Wendy was easy to work with. The whole process was easier than I thought it would be.
