This business is awful. Their practices are best described as gouging. They charge twice the rate of the **** and say it's due to labor and materials but, the reality is the total effort it takes to achieve the same goal as another mailing service there is no difference at all. They claim they're service to be over $130 over the cost for the same service as **** with different effort or provide any greater services therein. This is what propels me to file this complaint and hold this company accountable for this egregious overcharge. This is not the end of my efforts to stop their poor and unethical business practices. I will seek guidance from ********** attorneys office and the attorneys general.

I am sorry that this customer is dissatisfied. In reviewing our email correspondence with him, we gave this customer the same options as we give all of our customers. The first option was pricing for us to package and ship his auction winnings at our retail prices, which are set nationally by our corporate office and are the same for the hundreds of stores in our franchise. The second option was for him to have us hold his items until he could pick them up or send another business or friend to come and pick them up from us. Thirdly, he could send us a label with which to ship them out and only pay for packing and processing. Finally, he could choose to forfeit his items, and we would dispose of them at no charge. The customer chose the first option, to pay us for packing and shipping. We do charge more for postal rates, as does every store in our franchise and every shipping store that I have ever spoken with. There is nothing illegal in federal codes or state regulations in doing so. We would not offer shipping via any service that we could not profit from. We understand that many people purchase items for sale on a speculative basis from online auctions, and so we try to be as flexible as possible with these customers and offer them several options, including free disposal, which is more than most other companies do. Our willingness to work with customers to offer so many choices is why we have several online auction companies work with us. "Pay what you wish" however is not a model we are able to use. I am sorry that he regrets his purchase from us, but once it has left our store, there is nothing we can do to recoup the expense we have occurred in shipping.
