  We had a terrible experience with Varsity Tutors. We were with them for about 4-5 months. In the second month, the tutor that they provided for my daughter decided all of a suddent that she was no longer available to Tutor. So all of those hours that we were supposed to have with her, were lost along with the hundreds of dollars that were paid for the service. They did not provide another tutor for us. That was the 1st red flag. Then, for our last tutoring session, they just cancelled it unilaterally. When I contacted the tutor she was wondering why they cancelled it as well, as she did not receive any notice to that regard. They are very quick to take your money, and provide horrible service. The customer service is just them telling you how great they are. What a terrible experience!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

  Beware Varsity Tutors false advertisement 1. Tutors are not knowledgeable 2. Tutors use your time to ****** the information they need to help you 3. Tutors overcharge your sessions. Your session is one hour. They will charge two hours.4. They will not refund your money. They will send you an email that says nonrefundable.

  I regret using varsity tutors. We had signed up our daughter for a tutor course to help her learn Spanish, which she was really excited about. Initially upon review of the course, the main representative mentioned there would be in person and virtual classes for ky daughter to attend and that was not the case. Also the tutor ended up canceling on us and varsity tutors never reached out to reschedule with us with another tutor. Later my account was charged twice after their cancellations but after requesting a refund, varsity stated that since we didnt reach out to confirm the cancellation that we are not eligible for a refund. In total I paid over $750 for a total of 4 classes of 30 minutes each, in a spans of 2 weeks. When asked for a refund, we had to call varsity tutors twice to get a status of our request, one both mentioned they would reach out to us. Its been a month. Horrible experience overall and would recommend to anyone.

  I called varsity tutors to get my daughter some help with her 8th grade math class. I was promised someone who would be familiar with this level of math. I sent in some work she was recently given in class as an example. Her first tutor cancelled the day before her ******* the next tutor signed off 5 minutes into the ******* because they didn't understand the material, and then the current tutor said he can no longer continue. How many chances do I need to give them before we get a successful session? We currently have no tutor working with my daughter. They should not advertise their services if they can not deliver quality tutors.

  BEWARE the payment methods of this company. My son needed help for several weeks in April 2023 in calculus. While the tutor was decent, the company has continued to make it so difficult to cancel our billing (they like to say your account is "on hold". ) If they have your cc number and you are not vigilant they hold for one month and recharge your card. My son and I had to make multiple phone calls to assure that we would not be charged. Today 6/6/23, I got a text saying he has a tutoring session tomorrow. When I checked with my CC company we had not yet been charged but when I called Varsity tutors at the number associated with the April charge I was told my billing contract went until July 3rd. After multiple go arounds and asking to speak to someone above him I was told there was no one he could refer me to. I had to cancel and reissue my card to make sure I was not charged again. BE VERY CAUTIOUS!!!
