    Termio has been very easy to deal with and schedule. They are friendly and also know how to get the job done. Their treatment was noticed immediately and really it lasted the whole duration of when they were scheduled for the next time.

    Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Since most of our customers prefer just the outside to be serviced we default to a four-hour window but if you request it we can always narrow that down to a 2-hour window. Thank you

    I recently purchased a property and received a letter stating that my property has termite warranty coverage implying the previous owner had a warranty which I didn't realize. My wife told me it was a scam marketing trick, but I didn't believe her because I didn't think that a business was getting away with misleading people into thinking there was an active warranty. I was wrong and I'm mad at this business because they made me lose another argument with my wife.It seems they pull the publicly available home sale records and "issue new warranties for these properties" on behalf of the new owners without telling them. Then, marketing mailings can say "This property has termite warranty" but we need to do a few things to transfer the warranty to your name. What they are really offering is a free inspection and free trial of the warranty where they will attempt to sell you on more stuff. I almost got scammed and my wife would've never let me live that down!Here is the full letter:Your warranty hasn't been updated as of [DATE]. Termites cause more damage than fires, floods, and tornadoes combined and are not covered under most homeowner insurance policies.Our records show an ownership change at [RECENTLY PURCHASED ADDRESS] on [ONE DAY BEFORE CLOSING]. This property has termite warranty coverage with Termio, LLC through [CLOSING DATE PLUS 8 TO 10 MONTHS]. Should a termite issue arise, your Termio warranty ensures your home is treated at no cost.To get the warranty transferred in your name and a new certificate issued, go to termio.com/transfer and use transfer code: [MARKETING LOCATOR CODE]. To guarantee coverage is uninterrupted, please complete transfer before [UPCOMING DATE].[END OF LETTER]Judging by the number of 5 star reviews, it seems like this tactic is working but I do wonder how many of the people that left 5 star reviews would feel the same if they knew there was not actually a warranty in place on the property when they started doing business.
