    I can't even give this business one star because of their dubious tactics, but I had to give them one star in order to post this review..I emailed ABCDE for an estimate to tile my kitchen counter. Per ABCDE's online request, I provided an approximate estimate of the area to be tiled (****** sq. ft.).*** from ABCDE arrived on time, ostensibly to measure the area to be tiled. Yet, he left his tape measure in his truck. I lend him a tape measure. He took some measurements, and then he talked about my flooring and a number of problems I might encounter with it. (The house is new, and I am the first owner). When I told him that new flooring wasn't in the budget, he appeared to lose interest in my project. (It seemed to me that *** was really here to up-sell me on a far more expensive project.)*** requested photos of the tiled kitchen counter in my former house, a project that took one day to complete.I sent the photos. The next day, instead of an estimate, I got an email from ABCDE saying:"Thank you for considering ABCDE Floors LLC for your project. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we are unable to take on your project at this time due to current commitments."If ABCDE was SO BUSY that it could not take on a small, one-day project, tiling ****** sq ft, why did they waste my time sending *** to "estimate" the project - when he didn't even bring a measuring tape with him?I think this company is not interested in taking on small jobs. If that's the case, then ABCDE should say so UP FRONT. ABCDE should not waste a customer's time by showing up, ostensibly to estimate the defined project, and then try talking the homeowner into contracting for an entirely different and FAR more expensive project (like replacing brand new flooring), which, in my case, I didn't need.The only thing ABCDE Flooring did for me was to establish a lack of trust. I would NEVER use them again nor would I recommend them.

    Contractors Beware! My name is ******* and I am the owner of ABCDE Floors LLC. Our company went to do a walkthrough for ******************* despite her being adamant that a walkthrough was not needed. Upon arriving it was noted that her floor would cause her problems down the road and being that we specialize in floors, we wanted to simply make her aware of this potential issue for future reference. It could very easily become a tripping hazard, and we in no way suggested our company be the one to take on any flooring projects. In regards to the tape measure when it was mentioned that it was in the vehicle she was asked to wait a few moments so it can be retrieved and she offered to lend hers instead of waiting. We declined to take on this project for a multitude of reasons and by the behavior shown here and on another platform we would advise all contractors to be cautious when hiring this client. She did not pay us for any work, we did not complete any work for her either. Her review is solely based off of us not wanting to work with her.
