I have had Namecheap for years, and they have been great with domains and hosting. However, recently I also have their *** service with Fast *** and their end is having server issues. I do technical support for a career, so I know it is not on this end, but on their end and servers. The *** service has worked great for years. However, in the last two days, they have had intermittent issues with their servers not allowing people to connect to them with the Fast *** App most of the time. When using several different devices and different operating systems one being Windows and the other Linux Zorin, the same error occurs after about a minute of trying to connect to their servers. It says, Connection error something went wrong. and does not say what went wrong. I contacted their support chat several times, but they seem to not like to blame their servers as they provide troubleshooting things that I already tried but does not resolve the issue. Chat support is at least trying to assist, but they dont understand it is not on this end but on their end of the server. Yesterday evening their servers finally allowed connections again then quickly went out hours later. This tells me that it is their side of things as why would it work a little bit and then cut out again without anything different going on on this side of things. It again is not allowing people to connect today. I would just like someone at Namecheap to contact their Fast *** server company and have them fix the server issue so I can use the system again. In another issue with Fast ***, one of the ***************** doesnt even allow the program to run. When going online, it seems to be an update issue and I would require a link to an older version, but Namecheap doesnt have links of older versions of Fast*** on their website. Could someone at Namecheap have FastVPn fix their server connections errors. Thanks.Initial Complaint

I fell victim to Namecheap.coms (******************************) unethical, fraudulent and deceptive practices when they renewed all my domain names without my consent costing me $422.18. Despite my repeated selection of the DO NOT RENEW option within my personal account, ********************** disregarded my wishes. They also deliberately concealed the exorbitant prices they were charging. If I had been informed of these outrageous prices, I would have unequivocally declined to renew my domain names. To compound the issue, when I tried to log into my account to address this matter, I realized that I had forgotten my password. Despite my efforts to find a link to reset my password, Namecheap.com does not offer this option. Yet another deceptive practice.I contacted Namecheap.com through their Ticket Support system, only to receive no response for several days. A simple Yes or No answer was all that was needed, yet Namecheap.com chose to ignore my request. This lack of communication appears to be a deliberate tactic to discourage dissatisfied customers.Upon following up on my Ticket Support, I was astonished to learn that they claimed not to recognize my personal information, as if I had never been a customer. This is despite the fact that they have all my personal information on file, including my credit card details, which they used without my authorization to charge me $422.18. This is clear evidence of their deceptive practices.Furthermore, their *********** tab on the main menu offers no direct way to communicate issues. Instead, it only provides videos and blogs, which is a deliberate tactic to discourage unhappy clients from seeking help. Despite my efforts to contact their in-house counsel, Mr. ************************ I have been met with resistance and a refusal to refund any of the monies owed to me. Numerous emails have gone unanswered.I urge you to take appropriate action against Namecheap.com and hold accountable the individuals for such unethical and fraudulent behavior.Initial Complaint

I own multiple domain names through the ***based company namecheap and have been their customer since 2014. Today I learned that ******************** has an ambiguous and unfair policy with regard to expired domain renewals. Two of my domains expired on April 19. Namecheap sent me a notice on April 22 informing me of that fact with the assurance:"Dont worry, you still have a chance to reactivate them and keep things running smoothly, but you need to act fast!"Below that:"for expired domains, you have a renewal grace ****** of UP TO 30 DAYS (depending on your domain extension), during which you can reactivate at the regular rate." (capitalization is mine for emphasis)"That's great," I thought, during a very hectic month. On April 30th, at 09:25, I returned to this task. The domains were still in my cart, so I checked my payment info and effectuated the transaction. Annoyingly, the transaction was rejected (but I was not charged). I tried again at 09:34 and got the same result.I didn't find a moment to try again until May 6th, sadly with the same result. I also got rejected on May 7th and 12th using other payment methods. All three dates were still within the 30-day window from the 4/19 expiration. At no time was I given an EXACT deadline for the renewal grace ******.Today, namecheap support informed me that my domain was in the "redemption ******." To renew my two domains at $15.88/year ($32.12 total) is now $172.12. The page with info on redemption pricing saysagain, ambiguously:"When your domain expires, you have AROUND 30 DAYS to renew it at a regular price."To add to the confusion, these domains have remained in my cart since the first renewal attempt and still show the $32.12 total. Indeed, I tried to renew again today, but no luck.I would like namecheap to honor the original rate of $32.12 rather than holding my domain names hostage. In fact, if I want to purchase hardertrivia.com (instead of renew), it is classified as a premium domain at $811/yr!Initial Complaint

Reached out to Namecheap and I am disgusted by their sneaky unethical sales practices after discovering today that 16 unauthorized charges of $18.88/month + $9.88 /moth were charged to my account without my knowledge. In the past I purchased a few domains and hosting plans but was unaware that the company added extra "trial" services including Relate Reviews and Relate Social Pro subscriptions on their order confirmation forms for services that I didn't even know that would begin billing me. I'm just flat out upset by this. While speaking with customer service agent ****** B he insisted that these charges were added by me yet I explained to him that I did not add these extra add on and proposed to him that these were fraud. He stated that the order confirmation included these "trial services as fees". The worse part of all is that ****** couldn't even tell me how to remove the unauthorized fees from my account when I never asked for this in the first place. The other more disturbing thing is that the company hides these recurring "trial" fees for Relate Reviews and Relate Social Proin the **** section of the account profile which can be easily missed by a normal customer. This is highly unethical and illegal to fraudulently charge customers for services and not tell them what they purchased and how the unauthorized charges even work. I demand a refund for the 16 fees that have been billed to my account since last November until the present. This is sad that companies take advantage of customers and sneak in extra fees to get over on customers. I do believe there are thousands of victims that are unaware this company is fraudulently auto billing services that customers have no idea were added on to their accounts nor have any idea about how the services work. I cannot allow this to continue. My experience must be shared to make Namecheap accountable for their wrongdoings.Initial Complaint

This business website did not even work, first of all. I just let it go and took the * and cancelled the auto-renew. I was informed by the business my platform would be cancelled as I did not pay the auto-rewew (Which was my desire because the platform doesn't even work!). THEN I was charged an auto-renew fee. I disputed this with my bank and THEN received an email from namecheap that they're going to charge me an ADDITIONA* chargeback fee (because they are butthurt). This is beyond insane and terrible business practices, I am aghast.Initial Complaint
