Secured Futures (SF) is a fraudulent, rogue organization. My daughter was an unwilling participant after having settled a medical malpractice lawsuit. Funds were placed with SF and in an annuity overseen by ******************************** of America. Upon my daughter's death in February 2021, SF set out to steal all they hadn't already stolen. SF forced me to allow them to sell my daughter's house for far below market value then refused to turn over the proceeds. SF never told me about the annuity, (I found the contract while looking through my daughter's possessions a year after her death) then stole nine checks, which ********** had held because a death certificate had been provided by SF. SF attempted to cause ********** to divert my daughter's funds to an account other than my daughter's even though her son and I were clearly named by her as her beneficiaries; the request was denied by **********. SF claimed that no money remained in my daughter's account, yet they continued to bill my daughter for over a year after her death. SF turned over nonsensical financial records to the 2nd lawyer I'd hired. The 3rd lawyer did not request all financial records so, after two years and seven months, SF has turned over only what they said they had from the house sale, $130,000 minus the $26,000 due ********* SF thinks I will go away now, but I've just gotten started with these thieves. They stole money my daughter suffered for and I will not rest until they pay for their callous actions.

Firstly, we extend our sincere condolences for your loss and the difficult circumstances you've faced. Secured Futures is a national non-profit trust organization entrusted with the management of over ***** trusts. These trusts are established to protect the financial future of individuals who have received settlements, often related to personal injuries. The decision to create these trusts and purchase annuities is made based on court orders, legal advice, or financial planning recommendations, not at the discretion of Secured Futures.

Our primary mission is to ensure that clients receiving needs-based benefits, such as ********* maintain their eligibility while benefiting from their settlements. All financial transactions related to these trusts are meticulously documented and made available to the beneficiaries in quarterly statements. We operate with transparency and provide clear fee schedules, so beneficiaries are fully aware of any charges associated with their trusts.

Regarding the sale of your daughter's home, when a trust beneficiary passes away and there is a ******** claim, it is our responsibility to sell any trust assets, like a home or vehicle, at fair market value to satisfy the ******** claim. The proceeds from the sale are then returned to the trust to fulfill this obligation. Any remaining funds are designated for the beneficiaries listed in the Joinder Agreement. Annuity payments are redirected by the annuity company, and Secured Futures has no control over this process.

We understand that these administrative procedures may seem complex and time-consuming. Selling trust assets, locating remainder beneficiaries, waiting for ********'s response, and redirecting annuity payments often involve multiple external parties and can take time. We acknowledge the frustration that delays may cause, especially during difficult times.

It is essential to emphasize that we always act in accordance with court orders, legal obligations, and government regulations to protect the interests of our beneficiaries.

We remain committed to assisting you in resolving any outstanding issues and addressing your concerns.

Please feel free to reach out to our team, and we will do our best to provide further clarification and assistance.

Once again, we express our condolences for your loss and the challenges you've faced during this difficult time.
