Moxie isn't very transparent about its pest control contract. I was verbally informed by their door-to-door salesman that I needed to pay an initial payment of $128.52 and then I would have an additional 3 qtly payments of $171.72 to complete my contract. When I contacted Moxie they said that was not correct. The contract stated an additional four qtly payments of $171.72. Moxie refused to adhere to my verbal agreement and charged me a 80% cancellation charge of $138.38. Customer beware ... do NOT listen to their sales representatives that will tell you anything to get you to sign their contract. Like other reviews ... DON'T BUY INTO THEIR "PLAN". It's a complete "bait and switch". I'd NEVER recommend Moxie's services to anyone.

Moxie is deceiving its customers by not being out front when selling a product. I had moxie come out and sell me termite bait stations and bait at high, high cost ($2174) with a contract that hides the fact that these stations are rentals. That is ridiculous because if customers knew that after paying such high price for these plastic bait stations that are only rentals they would be losing money because most customers will not buy them. The contract should be straightforward out front and state that these are rentals instead of hiding the fact in areas where the busy customers mostly just take a Quick Look. Even in the second page of the contract it's not clear that they are rentals. Stop cheating your customers. I don't usually do reviews but now I will in Next Door, yahoo, ******, Yelp, and any where else I can including putting in a complaint via bbb.

Moxie has provided great service at my home for many years. I am a bit disappointed that the cost recently increased unexpectedly.

Just started service with Moxie, so far so good. Well presented as a company. Well-groomed and educated associates. Well written service notes. We have found dead roaches the very next day. Will post further reviews as our service proceeds.

I worked in the sales department at Moxie for 1.7 years. In the beginning, integrity and honesty seemed to have meant a lot to the company. But as they grew, it seemed the company started caring less about quality of service and calls and more about getting their numbers up. Employee training became more of a daily 30 minute play session, where the leads would talk about how amazing Moxie is and congratulate employees for doing the bare minimum in order to keep a false sense of an upbeat, fun work environment that everybody was an essential part of. If you had concerns or questions or thought something felt off, we were told to take it off-line and were then penalized for having an individual thought that contracted what Moxie wanted. We were encouraged to sell people year contracts to put a band-aid on their pest issues rather than be honest with them so they knew what to do to find long term solutions. It felt ick and uncomfortable. My team was constantly given unrealistic expectations and never recognized for how hard we worked to make the company millions of $$ each year. Working for Moxie was the single most stressful job I have ever had, and I busted my **** to help make it better. They thrive in claiming to be family owned, but in the end, they care about you as a customer or employee just as little as any other corporate company.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Very deceptive sales practice. If you agree to the discounted trial service, you are LOCKED-IN to a contract! The salesperson that shows up at your door won't mention "CONTRACT", "SUBSCRIPTION", or "CANCELATION FEE"; but if you opt to discontinue service they will still send you a BILL - and threaten to send you to a COLLECTION AGENCY! Their defense is, "it's in the sales agreement that you signed". So, if you chose to do business with a company like this, read every word of that agreement VERY VERY CAREFULLY! It is companies like this that give door-to-door salespeople such a bad reputation.
