Refund and Exchange Policy

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

We love that you’ve chosen to shop with us! At Northern Spy we want every customer to have a positive experience. We understand that things come up, but we’ll always do our best to make sure you’re satisfied.

You can return eligible items within 30 days of receiving an order for a refund of the merchandise value. An original receipt is required. Custom Order furniture is not eligible for returns. Review the full list of ineligible items below.

We take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our furniture. Attention to detail in design, materials and construction is always of great importance to us. We encourage you to inspect your order upon receipt. If you have a concern or believe there is a quality issue, we will work with you to correct it, in accordance with the policy below. STOCK FURNITURE, LIGHTING & ACCESSORIES

Payment is required in full for Stock items. You may cancel your Stock order at any time prior to shipment departure for a full refund.

If you are not satisfied with your Stock purchase upon receipt, you must contact us within 3 days of your delivery or pickup to request a Return Authorization Form. Furniture and lighting items must be returned within 15 days of customer delivery or pickup. Accessory items must be returned within 30 days of customer delivery or pickup.

All items must be in new condition with all original packaging and will be inspected upon return. We recommend you package returns and exchanges carefully and purchase insurance. Any delivery fees and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

A restocking fee will apply to all stock item returns, starting at 25% of the purchase price. Items not returned in new condition may be denied return/exhcnage/refund, or levied to an additional restocking fee up to 100% of the purchase price, solely. Items returned outside the stated time frame will not be considered for return, exchange, or refund.

Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment (cash refunds are limited to $100 with any balance refunded as a check by mail). Delivery fees are not refundable. See Refund Policy for more information.

CUSTOM ORDER FURNITURE

These special-order items are made to your individual specifications; therefore, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

Once you place your order for “In Stock - Custom” furniture, you have 48 hours to change or cancel. After 48 hours, your order is nonrefundable. The 48-hour time frame begins as soon as you place your order.

For Custom Order furniture orders canceled within 48 hours, an appropriate exchange, credit or refund will be issued for the item(s) and any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. Refunds will be issued in the Original Form of Tender (cash refunds are limited to $100 in store with any balance refunded as a check by mail). See Refund Policy for more information.

If a Custom Order item arrives with a manufacturing defect or damage caused during transit, we will repair or replace the defective or damaged area. If that isn’t possible, we will arrange an exchange. We reserve the right to determine the best course of action for any repair and replacement consideration as well as the methods and timeline.

Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable. Return shipping and return pickup fees are the customer’s responsibility and are nonrefundable.

NONRETURNABLE ITEMS

Items that are made to order, custom order, marked “In Stock - Custom”, discounted items (except Design Trade Program discount), and items purchased as final sale cannot be returned, exchanged or repaired. Items damaged through normal wear and tear are also not eligible for return, exchange, or repair.

ITEMS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

For Fedex Deliveries— Northern Spy carefully packages your purchase to ensure damage does not occur. Please inform all damages & defects within 15 days from the receiving date. For all damaged items caused by shipping, we will file claim with the shipping carrier. Please provide us photos of any visible damage to the box/packaging as well as photos of the damage or defect reporting. If we deem the item to be defective/damaged, we will provide you with return/exchange instructions. Tip: Please be sure to keep the original packaging boxes (this is the proof that the package was damaged) so that the shipping carrier can come and inspect them. Losing the original packaging boxes may be denied for damage claim. Any personal damages caused by mis-handling or abuse will void the warranty. For Curbside Freight Delivery— Northern Spy carefully packages your purchase to ensure damage does not occur. Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If any damages are present, it’s best to call us immediately while the driver is still present to resolve. Phone us at (480) 239-3655. Your signature on the bill of lading indicates that all items have been received in good condition. Any damage claim must be made within 3 days to be considered.
