    Old Republic Home warranty assigned this sketchy company - READ the REVIEWS on this company. AWFUL... PASS this company by they DO NOT keep appointments and will tell you FALSE stories of why they couldn't be on time..." Our truck had a flat tire " not to mention rude customer service. I saved their text to prove their rotten excuses and poor service. Don't burn a day off work Shaffer and Sons will NOT be worth it. OLD REPUBLIC HOME WARRANTY also will NOT get a renewal from this customer.

    If you read the text message that was sent regarding your appointment it clearly says the following: Your appointment with ***************************** Heating and Cooling is booked for Jun 13, 2024. We will contact you give you a 1/2 hour notice before we arrive. Please let us know if this works for you. After 2 pm with a half hour notice keep in mind our days are long and run into late evenings in this heat You were actually notified at 1:28 which was a half hour prior to your appointment for after 2:00. You wasted a day taking a day off of work for an after 2:00 appointment. I don't get it. In my world after 2:00 is after 2:00 so I don't see the issue. You were also advised that at times we run late into the evening in this heat. So why your so mad is confusing at best.

    My 30-year-old heat pump finally gave out. I had a homeowner warranty policy with Old Republic and they contracted with ****** and Sons Air Conditioning. Their technician came out and diagnosed the problem and it needed a whole new system.***, the office manager, dealt with the warranty company and she was always honest with me.This was an especially difficult attic installation in an old house. Very cramped and very hot. I couldn't get up there so the techs took pictures of the installation. I couldn't have been more happy.***** and **** are truly rockstar technicians.I highly recommend ****** and Sons.

    Old Republic ******************* utilized this company for HVAC leak in my attic. They came out same day, looked in attic, went outside to outside drains and use vacuum to clear "blockage of drain pain" which is a common issue. Tech did not go back into attic to verify blockage was cleared. Initial damage staining on ceiling noted, blockage re-occurred and further water damage to ceiling. They were contacted and would come out in 2 days all while damage continues due to leak. Now an additional leak and staining is moving down walls and further into hallway. Initial comment from tech is we need a larger drain pain yet the size has been working for over 15 years without any issues. I believe initial issues was not correctly diagnosed or was just not corrected so as to prevent further damage. I have cancelled any further visits by this company and will have another company who is willing to actually do the work. By waiting two days to correct and not come out and do the work originally contracted to do has resulted in further damage to the house. I will address with the contractor board.

    Thank you for your review. We received your work order from ORHP on the 17th and scheduled your visit for the 19th. You advised that your unit was leaking. We advised that you turn the system off to prevent water damage but were informed that you had a bucket under the unit. The technician found both of your drain lines clogged and cleared the drain lines. He suggested a larger secondary drain pan. You called back stating that you were still having the same problem and now you were leaking in two places. I stated that we needed to get a service manager or senior technician to diagnose the problem. You canceled the appointment with me and ORHP and went with someone else with out allowing the opportunity for a senior tech or the service manager to come to your home. For those of you reading this we greatly appreciate your feedback. While continued services were offered and declined for a senior technician and or service manager it is always appreciated to have feedback to our office in a positive manner that way we can learn and grow.

    As the tech went into the attic, diagnosed, used a vacuum cleaner suction and never verified the pan drained by going back into the attic to verify that was the only issue and he had corrected. Instead just left. Second company came out, tested with high pressure air, then had to cut the pvc and flush with water. Then replaced pvc to original and no more leaking. You get one chance not two to do a poor and incomplete job. It is so hard to find any quality or honest contractors and sadly yours is not one of them so it was my decision to not have u come back out. A second company had to correct the issue and it was not because of an undersized drain pan that has worked for over 20 years but an obstruction of the drain line. Your techs diagnosis was correct but he never corrected the issue thereby allowing the leak to cause further damage. Now we have gone from approx 3 Sq ft of water damage to over 30 Sq ft My home owners insurance will be in touch to discuss further via the "subjugation ******
