      Absolutely horrible experience! I had them install a lift kit (that I'd purchased) on my truck. I was given a rough cost estimate and was told that this was not a firm price, but I would be contacted prior to that price being exceeded by 10%. I was also told that the estimate would likely be higher than the final price since "we've installed THAT lift on THOSE vehicles." When I drove by late that afternoon and inquired on the cost, I was given a price that was 50% higher than the estimate. When I tried to discuss what happened, the owner started yelling, wouldn't allow me to explain my point, and accused me of both lying and being a cheat. He said the final bill (~$1K) needed to be paid IN CASH because he "didn't trust what I would do when I left there." I have never been treated so disrespectfully by ANY business in my 65 years. To make matters worse, the lift kit installation was not completed. There were at least two items that I specifically discussed with the other owner that were not installed.I have a good friend that worked there many years ago and he tried to warn me then about this place. I should've listened.I'll be taking the truck to another shop for a follow-up inspection and final adjustments.Beware!

      First most businesses will not install customer supplied parts. That being said, Mr. ***** was informed that we would install his lift kit. He was also informed that the cost would be billed at a "time and materials" basis since there is no "book time" for this procedure. This is so noted on our schedule in writing a week prior to his appointment. He was also informed that there is absolutely no warranty on any repair when the customer supplies his own parts. 

      Mr. ***** has fabricated much of his statement.

      1) he was not told we would call him if the repair estimate was exceeded by 10 percent (he was told time and materials period).

      2) he was not told that we have installed that lift on those vehicles. We have not installed this brand.

      3) he was not yelled at.

      4) how can a time and materials quote be 50% higher?

      5)  he was not accused of being a liar or a cheat.

      6) if he was warned about us, why have we worked on vehicles of his starting back in 2000.

       

      Statements that are true:

      1) he was charged for 6 hours of repair time at $150.00 per hour + shop supplies

      2) the install took about 8 hours but he was charged for 6

      3) he was made to pay cash based on his attitude prior and subsequently. 

      4) these company policies have not changed in the 30 years we have owned the business.

      5) the install quality was as if he was getting a full warranty and we sold him the parts. As we have been maintaining for 30 years.
