I would have given it a zero, but had to choose something. After 2 ½ months, I received my partial deposit money back from the guide Tommy ****** from Fish Finder Service on Greer's Ferry in Arkansas. I booked the trip with him over the phone to fish with him on a Tuesday. I never got a confirmation from him after he received my check and confirming the date. My wife was not too happy on our vacation since I had planned for a Tuesday trip and ended up going on Wednesday instead. On Wednesday morning at 10:23 am, the guide texted me that he was running late and would be there ASAP but no mention of the kind of car he was driving or any more information. Guides I hired always made themselves readily available. I was actually early and got to the marina before 11 am. The marina was dead, and I pulled up and didn’t see any gas pumps at all. I was not aware that you had to walk through the marina and gas pumps are in the back. In the north, we don’t have large marinas at all so I wouldn’t know what the setup is like. I tried texting him and calling him at my arrival. No response, and for some reason no timestamps of my text messages or that they were delivered.. I kept my son entertained by going back and forth from the marina to the boat launch multiple times and trying to fish from the launch. I waited to hear back from the guide but never did. Then I was flabbergasted when his newer Yamaha boat motor mysteriously stopped working, and we never got to fish. I have a 1991 Yamaha and never had problems with it. I was charged his so called rate of $67 an hour for the long trolling motor ride back to the boat launch and ride back to the marina from his friend. It wasn’t my fault about the motor. Never had a guide experience like this ever, and I don’t expect too ever again. No one asks for a half of the money mailed to them by check anymore in advance. Pus, his website website has a time of 2007-2017 with outdated rates.
