JOHN ****** WAS RECOMMENDED BY A REAL ESTATE AGENT AND HE THREW ALOT OF BUSINESS JOHN ******* WAY. I, LIKE MANY OTHERS MOVED TO HORSESHOE BEND FROM OUT OF STATE. ANYWAY, JOHN WAS RECOMMENDED AND I TOOK THE HOOK LINE AND SINKER. HE BUILT A PANTRY FOR ME AND IT WAS OK. THEN REPLACED ROOF SHINGLES AND HAD A YARD FULL OF NAILS WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN PICKED UP WITH A YARD MAGNET (TWO FLATES LATER). NEXT WAS A BATHROOM SHOWER. THEY USED PLAIN SHEETROCK NOT GREEN BOARD. THE DRAIN WAS OUT OF LINE AND CAME OUT OVER A BEAM DOWN UNDER IN THE LIVING ROOM WHICH MEANT CUTTING A HOLE IN THE CELLING AND INSTALLING A REPAIR COUPLING. IT TOOK HIM A MONTH TO DO THIS. NEXT WAS PAINTING THREE ROOMS AND A HALLWAY. THEY GOUGED THE WALL REMOVING WALLPAPER. THEY MISSED ONE CELLING FAN VENT IN BATHROOM AND ANOTHER CELLING IN A BEDROOM. ONE BEDROOM THEY PAINTED HALF OF THE BASEBOARD. OTHER MISTAKES I WONT LIST. HE TRIMMED MY OAK TREES AS PART OF PAINTING BID. THE THREE ROOMS AND LEFT THE TRIMMINGS AND A WHOLE TREE LAY AROUND FOR OVER A MONTH. I HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO REMOVE THE MESS ($700.00). NOW, WHEN ALL THE WAS GOING ON I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND MY WIFE WAS BEDRIDDEN WITH COVID AND SO WAS I AND ALMOST DIED. THE NON-SPEAKING ENGLISH CREW THAT WORKED ON MY HOUSE ROBBED ME. SO FAR TO DATE AROUND $3,000.00 WORTH. THE CLUB I JOINED LATER WAS WELL AWARE OF RITTER FROM FIVE YEARS PRIOR TO ME MOVING HERE. THINGS STOLEN WERE MOSTLY $100.00 ITEMS. LOTS OF JEWELRY, TOOLS, ITEMS MY WIFES DEAD MOTHER GAVE HER. MY WIFE IS FROM ENGLAND BUT LEGAL FOR 50 YEARS. HANDHELD RADIOS, ON AND ON. I CONFRONTED JOHN AND WAS TOLD I MISPLACED THEM. I ONLY SAW JOHN WHEN HE SHOWED UP TO COLLECT MONEY. NEVER INSPECTED THE JOB. DONT KNOW IF HE EVEN HAD A LICENSE. NOTHING WAS INSPECTED. OH, BY THE WAY, THEY LEFT ALL THE LEFT-OVER MATERIAL FOR ME TO GET RID OF. WHAT A MESS AND WAY, WAY TOO MUCH LEFT-OVER MATERIAL. HE'S NOT REGISTERED WITH THE BBB.

Company is aptly named. This contractor built my tiny home approx. 8 years ago and guaranteed the work for 3 years. This past winter Feb 2023 we had a heavy snow. As the snow melted I noticed water damage on my ceiling in 3 rooms. Not covered by homeowner's insurance. I contacted this contractor. He came out with one of his workers 2/15/23. I was told the leaking was my fault since I hadn't cleaned out gutters and reapplied silicone every 2-3 years. I routinely clean gutters, but hadn't recently. Was not told to reapply silicone. He reapplied the silicone all along the roof joinings on the affected side and around the vent pipe on that side. His worker had me enter my address into his phone so the sheetrock repair could begin the next day. The worker never showed up. Contractor would not answer phone, respond to vm or texts. I had sheetrock repaired. Ceilings were repainted. Then in March of 2024 after another heavy snow, I had the same leaks in the same rooms from the same roof areas. I contacted a different contractor who was able to begin work in Oct 2024. I kept a tarp on the roof to prevent further leaking. Once the new contractor was able to remove the roof, it was discovered that no flashing was used, nothing to prevent backup of snow/ice under the overhang. There was no insulation in the bump out at the back of the house. The plywood was rotten as were some of the roofing joists. The screws weren't holding down the metal roof. It all had to be replaced. Plus sheetrock had to be repaired again. A total cost of around $8000 because of the original contractor not doing the job the proper way. If you don't know your business, then don't BE in business.
