I purchased my home in ****. It was not completely finished when I spotted it, except for the structure itself, but I knew it was going to be my future home (I wasn't even in the market to buy a new home and move...just 2 miles from where I was living). I contacted Mr. Corbett directly on a Sunday, met him at the home the next day, and agreed to pay exactly what he was asking right then and there b/c I knew the home was worth it and didn't want to risk it being sold to someone else. Since the home wasn't complete or even on the market yet, I was able to choose the exterior paint color, interior paint color(s), appliances, flooring, light fixtures, etc. Of course, I had a limit on the funds remaining to be allocated for what I was requesting. I went over that limit by a significant amount but Mr. Corbett didn't increase the selling price and he never complained, at least not to me. It was a smooth process and I had no issues with Mr. Corbett returning my calls. I've also worked for a developer of homes/subdivisions and I know there are always issues of some kind and they can be really expensive. However, the structure itself is typically the only warranty that stays with the home for 10 years. Everything else is limited to a one year warranty (sometimes two or three on certain things) and limited to the original home buyer. These builders can't forever honor every concern related to every house they've ever built/sold. They wouldn't be able to continue building new homes if they did. Owning a home is expensive, even excluding the purchase price. Maintenance costs a lot, unfortunately.

I purchased a home from the (original owner) built by this company and have run across several issues with plumbing and construction. I’m sure there must be more people with the same issues.

ZERO STARS! This company was hired to build a custom home for us in **** ****. We paid money out of pocket to upgrade everything yet you can still tell the work was cheaply and poorly done. it took over a year to get all of our appliances. Our closing date was moved 3 times. Our punch list is still not complete after a year. Our floors have had areas replaced twice and now the flooring company says there is moisture in the slab which is causing the LVP to warp. Flooring guy wants to replace it but the builder is refusing to pay. Our cabinets are falling apart and were never fully completed with missing handles and broken drawers. At this point they won't answer calls or return messages. We've had septic issues, plumbing and electrical issues since day 1. It's bad when you sink over $400,000 into a new home you're constantly having to repair. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

We were not hired to build this house, this was a spec house 70% complete when she signed contract. After signing contract Ms. Lee had major changes she wanted done that required an engineer to properly design her change request. This did take time and her closing date was moved. As far as her appliances, she purchased her own appliances outside of our company and she was aware of the delivery dates that were long because of covid. We did not pay for her appliances, therefore, we had to front her replacement appliances to get the CO on the home and the appliances we used as replacement were installed in a timely manner. The cabinets were built to her specs and when installed she was unhappy with the quality and cabinet co had to redo for her. There has never been an issue with the drawers and missing handles to our knowledge. The issue with her floor was brought to my attention on Thursday, ******** **, 2022 at approx 3PM. At that time I immediately contacted the flooring company that installed her floors. I was told by the flooring company that he had only replaced a few boards. In a matter of 24 hours, we had determined that we needed to send someone else to look at her floors and her response was NO, she did not want us to do that. We do answer calls and respond to messages, however, she is wanting an answer to us replacing her entire floor and I do not have that as of yet but am actively working to resolve the situation. So basically this report is false. The issues that we were made aware of have been resolved to our knowledge. We also have a resolution to replace the downstairs floors and was trying to get in touch with her to let her know, so this complaint is totally unnecessary.
