This complaint is not about the technicians, but the companys excessive charging of parts. After committing to the $95 service charge, I was informed that the defective part was the compressor capacitor. This capacitor, which should cost around $20-$50, they charged $275 for this inexpensive part to make more profit rather than worry about repeat business. They will never do any work for me in the future nor anyone that I know. Once you are stuck with the service call fee, it is not as reasonable to call someone else and incur another service fee and associated cost. They know this and use this to rip off honest hard working people. Read there other reviews before calling and you will see the other over charged customers. I encourage everyone to research other heating and air companies before letting Clarks take advantage of you!

I’m new to this area and didn’t know who to call when a plumbing issue cropped up. Based on the BBB rating and glowing reviews, I took a chance on Clark’s. I’m so glad I did! The two gentlemen who responded were so courteous and professional and fixed that plumbing issue right up.

Update: for my review of Clark Plimbing: I received a call from Mr Clark offering a refund of our money for the service call. I truly appreciate this rectification of the incident. The refund was sent in a very timely fashion.

After reading many positive reviews we called for an emergency. Our water pipe leading to the house from the city water system had broken. It was a simple dig and repair pvc pipe. We were pleased they responded quickly as we were without water. When they arrived I showed them the spot where the pipe was leaking. They were extremely condescending and told me I had no idea where the leak was. They suggested we call someone from Auburn to determine where the leak was (probably $***) and "they come to Montgomery twice a week." I said I knew where the leak was and pointed to it. I was told I had no idea where the leak was because "water follows the path of least resistance." Actually water follows gravity and the places they pointed out that the leak could be were downhill from the water bubbling out of the ground. I also mentioned that I watched them place the pipe from the road which was in line with where I told them the leak was. I said, "Humor me. Suppose you believe me and dig right here where the leak is, how much would that cost?" $*** and that was because it was near the house. If it were close to the road it would be $***. After hearing this we said thanks but no thanks. There is no way, regardless of us already committed to a $** service call that I was going to pay $*** to dig out a pipe and fix it when I knew where it was. I was told the $** was good for a month and we could call back after we located the leak. This was not only ridiculous, but it seemed evident to me they thought I knew nothing since I was a woman. After they left I actually dug down to the leak myself. It took me 5 minutes to dig, and feel the cracked pipe. Right where I said it was. Luckily we were able to contact another plumber who fixed the problem right away for less than half the price. Honestly, I think I deserve a refund of my $** as the two gentleman who came to help us did absolutely nothing.

Clark was pretty good. They covered part of my AC unit under warranty that was purchased by the previous owner. There was a problem with some open holes on the Plenum but they came back and fixed it after I spotted it. So some quality control issues but that is hard to avoid these days. Overall I was pleased and I feel they are honest.
