Four days without water and zero transparency. Where is *****, the mayor AND PRESIDENT OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT??? Neither his face nor voice has been heard or seen during this horrible event. WHERE IS OUR MAYOR? Thank God for ***** for stepping up and providing cases of water to the town. Not our city council, not our county commissioner, not our mayor. ****** is the only politician who stepped up!

This is very inaccurate information.  During the recent snowstorm (1-14-24 to 1-19-24) our Mayor & Chairman of the Ardmore Water Board has definitely been seen and heard.  Our water office was closed this week, as was most of the Town & City, due to very snowy & icy conditions.  Mayor Shannon drove our roads to inspect & report to employees about road closures and dangerous conditions.  On Thursday night, with no forewarning, our water supplier, Limestone Co. Water Authority, shut off the water that our Town depends on to supplement our wells.  This left many of our residents without water, and the remainder of our residents with very, very low water pressure. Since Thursday night, Mayor Shannon has directly spoken with the CEO for LCWSA several times a day. (and is still speaking with him as of this date, several times per day).  He has also been in constant contact with Representative Andy Whitt and other Town & City officials from the start of this crisis.  On Friday, a post was made on the Town of Ardmore Facebook page asking residents to conserve water. That post and the many other posts that have followed have been his "voice".  Rep. Whitt called Mayor Shannon to let him know TVA was sending drinking water for Ardmore residents. Mayor Shannon was at the water office distributing water all day on Sunday, as was Rep. Whitt, Commission Chairman Collin Daly, EMA Director Eddie Gilbert, water board members, responders, police, street & water employees and many volunteers. He has been interviewed by all three TV stations and the segments have been on the evening news. As you can see our Mayor & Water Board Chairman has been seen and heard throughout this water crisis.
