A minor water heater leak caused us to call our home warranty company, Choice Home Warranty, who called DAVIS UNLIMITED to both replace the water heater and refloor the entire home, despite the floor damage being localized around the unit. We had to fire them after a simple refloor of a 1000 sqft slabbed home took 6 weeks, and was no where near completion. 4 of those weeks we were stuck with 2 mentally handicapped children in a hotel, our home uninhabitable. The last 6 days straight before we fired them, no one from DAVIS UNLIMITED showed up to work at all and we had to call them for a reason. I fired them on 12-16-24 and paid another crew to finish the the job out of pocket so we had a chance at being back in our home for Christmas. The replacement crew finished what DAVIS UNLIMITED had not done, refloored the home, installed painted baseboards & trim in 3 ******* of today, 1-8-25, DAVIS UNLIMITED is illegally denying us access to or acknowledgement of the location of our home's belongings. Instead, DAVIS UNLIMITED sent a $33k bill to us. As of 1-7-25, our insurance company paid them an agreed-upon settlement and we were told by ***** *****, a manager with DAVIS UNLIMITED that their payment would allow us access to our belongings for retrieval. Instead of the access mandated by thier payment, we got another bill today 1-8-25, for a further $5919 for 'paperwork and profit'. We are now seeking legal counsel for breach of contract and and contacting the ** to prosecute for theft. No provision for holding our children's belongings hostage for payment is listed in any legal contract. We have no beds beyond air mattresses. No winter clothes beyond what we got for Christmas and bought ourselves out of necessity. Many of their ****** reviews show DAVIS UNLIMITED engage in a pattern of disingenuous business practices similar to what they have done to us. We urge anyone reading this to avoid any business dealings with Davis Unlimited and do not even let them in the door.

We are sorry to hear that Mr. ***** is dissatisfied with the services we provided. However, we feel it is important to clarify several details regarding the situation and address any misunderstandings presented in his review.First, the flooring in Mr. ****** home was glued down to a concrete slab, which required several days of work to properly remove both the flooring and adhesive. The scope of work was clearly outlined in our work authorization forms, which were signed before we began the ********** is also important to note that Davis Unlimited, LLC was not contacted by Choice Home Warranty, as we are not a vendor for them. We were recommended by the plumbing company that Choice Home Warranty sent out to address the initial issue. Despite this, to date, neither **************************** nor his warranty provider has contacted us regarding the construction quote we submitted. Regarding billing, the mitigation and pack out/in final bill was reduced after discussions with the insurance company because Mr. ***** requested that we not pack his belongings back into the home. We complied with this request and adjusted the billing accordingly. When we were informed that Mr. ***** was upset about his belongings being in storage, we promptly reached out to his insurance agent to clarify that none of the contents were being held as leverage for payment of the construction profit and overhead. However, it took an additional five days for Mr. ***** to contact us and schedule a time to retrieve his items from the storage unit, which we were paying for on his behalf. We were surprised by the statement from Mr. ****** that the person who signed the work authorization on his behalf was not an owner of the home and that this would prevent us from being paid for our services. This statement was concerning and did not reflect the good faith in which we entered into this business relationship.Lastly, in response to the theft allegations, we categorically deny any such claim. All of Mr. ****** belongings were carefully packed and moved to a secure storage facility, and we remain willing to clarify any concerns regarding missing items. We are committed to providing quality service and transparent communication. Unfortunately, this account of the situation is one-sided and does not accurately reflect what occurred. We remain open to resolving any legitimate concerns that Mr. ***** may have.Sincerely,Davis Unlimited, LLC

Poor service They take you money up front and promise to do all ************ But will not complete the job stating that the insurance did not pay enough but you pay them up front for the job the promise to do and the leave items un done I would not give them a rating at all We were left with so many items not completed. Would not recommend them at all because they are not trust worthy.

Thank you, Mrs. ********* for sharing your feedback. We want to take this opportunity to clarify the situation regarding your claim. Your insurance policy was an Actual Cash Value (ACV), which does not cover the full cost of replacing damaged items such as cabinets, flooring, and other materials. Based on the terms of your policy, there was a shortfall between what the insurance provided and the total cost of the ********** outlined in our contract and estimate, we requested that you provide the additional funds necessary to cover what your insurance did not. Unfortunately, this was not agreed upon, and the matter was taken to court. While we respectfully disagree with the courts decision and reimbursed you the necessary funds to ensure your cabinets could be replaced. We strive to be fair and transparent with our customers and to work within the terms of their insurance policies. In this case, we believe we have made things right by honoring the courts ruling and providing the necessary reimbursement. We appreciate your business and hope that you are satisfied with the resolution. If you have further concerns, please feel free to reach out directly.Sincerely,Davis Unlimited, LLC
