The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the governments allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On September 18, 2015, in the State of Alaska Superior Court, Third Judicial District at Anchorage, the State of Alaska charged Michael Patrick Crites with five felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, one misdemeanor involving the delivery/possession of a controlled substance, one class B felony involving misconduct with a weapon in a drug crime and one unclassified felony involving a controlled substance and criminal enterprise.
On April 13, 2016, the State of Alaska entered a superseding indictment against Michael Patrick Crites with seven counts as follows.
THE GRAND JURY CHARGES:
COUNT I: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about May 2015 through August 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES knowingly engaged in a continuing criminal enterprise. All of which is an Unclassified Felony offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.71.010(a)(3) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska .
COUNT II: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about May 26, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES knowingly delivered one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of one ounce or more containing a schedule VIA controlled substance, marijuana. All of which is a Felony class C offense being contrary to and in violation of l l.71.040(a)(2) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska
COUNT III: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about May 26, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES knowingly possessed a firearm during the commission of an offense under AS 11.71.010 - 11.71.040. All of which is a Felony class B offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.61.195( a)(l) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska
COUNT IV: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about July 15, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES, as principal or accomplice, knowingly delivered one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of one ounce or more containing a schedule VIA controlled substance, marijuana. All of which is a Felony class C offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.71.040(a)(2) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska
COUNT V: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about July 29, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES, as principal or accomplice, knowingly delivered one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of one ounce or more containing a schedule VIA controlled substance, marijuana. All of which is a Felony class C offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.71.040(a)(2) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska.
COUNT VI: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about August 4, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES, as principal or accomplice, knowingly delivered one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of one ounce or more containing a schedule VIA controlled substance, marijuana. All of which is a Felony class C offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.71.040(a)(2) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska.
COUNT VII: That in the Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, on or about August 6, 2015, at or near Anchorage, MICHAEL PATRICK CRITES, as principal or accomplice, knowingly possessed with the intent to manufacture or deliver, one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of one ounce or more containing a schedule VIA controlled substance, marijuana. All of which is a Felony class C offense being contrary to and in violation of 11.71.040(a)(2) and against the peace and dignity of the State of Alaska.
The case pending. A jury trial has been set for May 18, 2020.
