This company withheld personal property that was towed inside a vehicle and refused to allow the person with lawful ownership to recover their belongs without paying to access the vehicle. This is illegal seizures. Additionally, the documents being retained were birth certificates and social security cards.

Below is a letter that we sent to Vulcan Towing regarding harassment by them to us for a debt on a vehicle we no longer own. The letter outlines our complaint against the company.-----------------------------------------------------****** and *************************** ******************************************************** RE: Harassment letters, Plate KCB319, Inv 22-47729 Attention ****** and *******,My wife and Daughter were sent a letter from Vulcan towing on December 22, 2022, demanding we pay towing and storage fees for a vehicle we sold in November 2021. See attached letter and copy of DMV title report. The title transfer paperwork was done on our side, on line, however the buyer never completed their paperwork and therefore the vehicle was in a Transfer pending stage. As you know, this will not progress until the buyer completes the paperwork, however the vehicle is no longer our responsibility and any and all claims against the vehicle are not ours. Your title and registration department have access to this DMV information and know this fact. However, *****, your title/registration employee, still drafted this letter to us in hopes that we would pay the bill due to the fact that you could contact the buyer. I called Sinei multiple times, left messages, but no call backs were made. I finally made contact with her and explained the situation. She acknowledged that the vehicle was no longer our responsibility and that we need not worry about the situation any longer. We received two more letters from Vulcan stating we were responsible for the debt and another letter from a collections agency. This letter serves as a "Cease and Desist" notice and we will consider pursing legal action if we receive any further contact from Vulcan towing regarding this matter. Sincerely,************************** and ********************* A complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau
