    We had a flood in our basement and had repairs done by a local contractor through insurance. Our contractor used Braid flooring to replace out carpet and underlay. We were advised that our carpet was no longer available by Braid however they had narrowed down something similar. We reviewed a 3" x 3" swatch of carpet that they showed us which we felt was close. On install day my wife stopped the installers from installing underlay they brought which was covered in mud. They returned with new underlay to install. Upon review of the carpet before install my wife advised that it was wrong and not the right color or quality to match what we have. She advised the installers and called the store several times leaving messages. She received no call back that day. The installers reassured her that if it was an issue that they would remove it at no charge and install the correct carpet. With several calls to our contractor and Braid, Braid declined to resolve the issue without charging us for new carpet.

    Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback Matthew. Our client in this matter is the contractor you selected. We did confirm the carpet selection with you prior to ordering which you gave us approval for. That material was ordered and installed as per your guidance. When you found another material you preferred after the installation, we offered in partnership with the contractor to remove the carpet we had installed and install the new material at no charge to you. You would be responsible for the cost of the new carpet. While we still believe that is a fair and generous offer, we will replace the carpet in partnership with the contractor at no cost to you.
