      My experience with Schembri property management included: - my key and locks being disabled during the last week of August every year for 5 years, for 1 week straight, despite advance notice of lease renewal. It took way too long (1 week) to resolve this every time it happened, despite numerous complaints to the office and over the phone (when the phone even works). - the property management attempted to use pre-authorized deposit info (PAD) information to charge indiscriminate cleaning (100+) and admin fees (150) to tons of students upon moving out - happened to us despite the unit being thoroughly cleaned prior to move-out. The PAD was supposed to be used for rent payments only - and they definitely took advantage of students who didn't explicitly tell the bank to block payments to Schembri after moving out - They have been advising all tenants to throw recyclables into the garbage bins for at least 5 years, for all of their buildings on ***** St (*** *****). This is 6 large apartment buildings - all with no recycling. - We never got our key deposit back

      Jeffrey J.and his roommate were charged with cleaning and patch and paint charges due to damages upon move out.  Photos were provided to both tenants and the charges were split 50/50 between the 2 roommates.  The roommate paid his fees and upon his request applied the key deposit towards the bill.  We received an email from Jeffrey on Oct 27/22 requesting his key refund be applied against the balances owing payment was made for the balance.  Jeffrey's other complaints are frivolous and untrue, and the fact that he stayed a tenant for 5 years speaks volumes.
