Daily power outages, during business hours, in Scarborough make it impossible to do my job. I expect better service in a major Canadian city. The quality of service from Toronto Hydro is comparable to ***** ******, where rolling power outtages are the norm. ** **** * *** ***** ******** ** ******* **** ******** ************* **** ** ********* ** ******* *** ******** * ***** ***** ********

Our power had been flickering and we finally realized it related to wind. Just to make sure, we had an electrician come in, and power inside the house was good. Toronto Hydro was called, and they came within 3 hours, and spent an hour in high wind checking and repairing. All seemed fine until higher wind, rain and sleet arrived. We called Toronto Hydro again and were told it would be a long wait, but they came again within 3 hours. It was Wednesday November 8th, the worst night. These guys worked in horrible conditions and repaired another problem (tree-related), and all has been fine since. I can’t say enough positive things about these two visits. The men were pleasant, helpful and happy to explain what they were looking for and what they had seen and repaired. It was a really positively charged experience ?? ********* *******

Toronto Hydro should be ashamed of they treat their customers (who don't exactly have much choice as far as power providers go...). On multiple occasions, I have received letters in the mail from Hydro threatening to disconnect my power for not paying my bill. The thing is, I HAVE paid the bill. As a recent example, my current bill was due April 14th, 2023. On April 14th, 2023 I paid IN FULL. Then a week later I got a letter in the mail from Hydro, saying we're going to shut your power off if you don't pay us. The letter was dated...APRIL 14TH 2023. The SAME day the bill was due they sent out a threatening letter to a paying customer. Like they couldn't even wait until the 15th? The DUE date is not the OVERDUE date. And this is not the first time that I have paid my bill in full, and on time, but received phone calls and letters threatening to disconnect my power. Cost of living crisis aside, regardless this is really DISGUSTING behavior. How dare you threaten people in this manner WITH NO BASIS. ***** *** *********

Hi.. I am satisfied with electricity provider in terms of set up and quick responses and ease to access online BUT I want to raise the point that Toronto Hydro - they levy charges of delivery with every bill and delivery charges are double than actual usage bill. e.g. If I get CAD 67 bill for a month and it has around $45 only for delivery fee.. Usage charge are just $20. So how is it justified. Please take some action on these two things which are towards consumers. This does not encourage consumers to use less electricity as it really does not change much of the bill. Either they should come up with some good promotion like if usage is below 500 kwh, there will be no or $10 delivery fee, if usage is between 500-700 kwh then delivery fee is $15 above 1000 kwh, delivery fee is $30 or so.. Secondly it should be less than usage charges.
