      I ordered a blind and curtains in Oct. 9/22 and made the final payment in Jan. 5/23. When they were delivered, there were a few issues, they weren't installed correctly, ie the curtains were sitting on the floor and the blind didn't open. The curtains were finally installed higher so they weren't on the floor, however the blind couldn't be made to work. The problem is that the curtain is too close to the blind for the manual wand to work. This is what the store said today "***** (the salesgirl) offered me power operated blinds, however, I refused them." I refused them because it would cost me more and not at any time did she mention the blinds wouldn't work without the remote. They're throwing the blame for the blinds not working back onto me... Also that "the couch is in front of the window, and that's why the blind doesn't work" - the couch can and has been moved away from the window so it doesn't now nor did it ever hinder the operation of the blind. A solution was to extend the drapes out another 2" so its not in the way of the "wand" that operates the opening and closing of the blind, however, there are two heat registers on the floor just below the window that come out 5 3/4" from the window. If the curtains come out any more that that, then they'll be on or over the registers. May I mention that I have done three rooms with Covers in the last three years and not one complaint with the salesperson, installer or the window coverings themselves. I've been absolutely thrilled with everything up to the blind now in question. I paid $4697.41 for a blind and curtains of which the blind does not open. I've asked that "Covers" makes it right, either by fixing the problem, giving me a remote at not extra cost, or by returning the blind to the manufacturer and refunding my money.
