About

Important information

  • Additional Info:

In May, 2023, BBB initiated an investigation on Noble
Paving. The investigation was prompted by a ScamTracker report alleging that Noble
Paving was going door to door doing work in the area and had leftover material. The business was
offering to complete the work at a discounted price. The quality of the
    workmanship was substandard.

Below are the findings of BBB's investigation on Noble Paving:

    • BBB conducted both a provincial and a federal corporation
search for Noble Paving but was not successful in finding any registration
      under the said business name.

    • A WHOIS domain search revealed that Noble Paving’s
website was registered on April 21, 2023. The registrant’s information is not
      disclosed.
Noble Paving uses stock photos on its website to represent
      its work.

    • While Noble Paving claims to service Ottawa and the GTA
area, the business does not display any contact information on its website other
than two telephone numbers. BBB urges caution when choosing whether to do
business with a company whose physical location is unknown.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot
confirm the legitimacy of Noble Paving.

    BBB offers the following tips:

    1. Reputable
asphalt contractors will rarely if ever sell their product
      door-to-door.
    2. Professional
asphalt contractors know with great accuracy how much paving material is
needed to complete a project and rarely will they have leftover material.
    3. Trustworthy
contractors provide a written estimate that should be valid for a
specified amount of time. Do not feel pressure to hire someone on the
      spot.
    4. Insist
on a written contract specifying in detail the work to be performed and
the agreed total price, not just price per square foot.
    5.  Most
reputable contractors take checks or credit cards and don’t require
      cash-only terms.
    6. If the
quoted price seems very low, chances are the quality of work will be low
      as well.
