    We signed a contract with Modern Image by Design (MID) to prepare built-in cabinets and shelves for our living room. This contract was signed in May 2022, and a 50% ($2,500) deposit was provided.Following this initial engagement, no one from the company ever came to our house, except on one occasion when paint samples were finally shown. No one ever came by for any consultations or measurement.In September 2022, MID wrote to us to confirm that they had nearly completed the job and they were ready to install the following week. Unfortunately, this installation date quickly came and went. And it was at this point that MID started proposing other installation dates, and giving new excuses whenever the dates were not being met. When concerns were raised with MID regarding delays, the company continued to reassure us that the work was nearing completion and that we should remain with the company.In October 2022, MID confirmed that the work hadnt been started and that the material was never ordered. They told me that their business was significantly impacted by COVID (i.e. debt) and they recommended that I engage another contractor as they wouldnt be able to complete my job. While understanding that COVID had a significant impact on many businesses, I asked for a return of my deposit. So far, I have received $500, and it isnt clear if MID has any intensions of reimbursing the rest of my money.MID has told me that they have hired a debt consolidation company for advice. Stay away from this company.

    It is absolutely accurate that we have been struggling this year after a horrible financial crisis during covid Dec through February, we are taking steps to ensure that clients are reimbursed financially.

    This is not a real company thats why you cant find any reviews and theyre not accredited. My review is that they took our money and ran. Ive been contacted by half a dozen other clients of theres and they all say the same thing. They start the job and leave with your deposit. They are currently being sued.

    As the owner of Modern Image, I can assure you we are a real company, Responding to the claim I have taken your money and ran is certainly untrue ******************, in fact, you received $1100.00 of floating shelves that were discounted from your invoice and a discount for the accessories that were not delivered. In reality, you have a surplus of funds from this project.It is absolutely true that Modern Image has had some major setbacks and cash flow issues this year, but to suggest that we are running away from clients that have a legitimate discount or refund is completely untrue. We are in contact with 2 clients that we are working on to honor our financial obligations. You are not included in this list, as you received all products promised on our invoice, and as I mentioned, you received $1100.00 worth of shelves that you did not pay for.Regarding your comment of there being "half a dozen" clients saying the same thing again, I would be more than interested in the contact info of these clients as I am only aware of two that have a legitimate claim and a right to be made whole. I am truly sorry that you feel hard done by ******************, but you have been reimbursed for the items not received in the form of a discount on your invoice.Finally, I am unaware of any law suits against my company, as I have not received any notification.
