  This company came highly recommended, the rep that came and took photos was very nice and seemed thorough. We had to move up moving day due to the holiday in May or my stuff would not have made it to ******* on time. Only 4 of the 5 pods arrived I am missing 3 suit cases full of towels, bedding, clothes, bathroom supplies, lots of boxes, pots and pans, dishes, a damaged computer that they wrapped, all the last minute packing of kitchen and bathroom stuff, plus more Apparently I signed papers stating not to check numbers on delivery day, and I never had documentation of the original seals numbers, I paid insurance for loss and damage, now they do not want to pay up. I will be seeking legal counsel, and Suing this company for pain and suffering and loss of property. Due to changing the moving dates, due to the holiday weekend, I knew my family would have to stay in a hotel for a week - 10 days, ( more expenses) but on moving day two trucks and 4 guys arrived on time, my son took photos of four seals even though we had nothing to compare with. Every thing was unloaded quickly and they left. They were so fast there was no time to check off the inventory pages. I called the rep that came to my house and asked for the photos he took, to send them to his head office, he said he couldnt do that??After reading so many other reviews and others with same problem this is a sad situation. AMJ moving and ***** ****** *** *** **** ******* ** ****** ******* My missing pod is out there somewhere either in ******* or ******* or it found its way to *****.

  This review involves both offices in Ottawa and Mississauga. It was an unpleasant experience, to say the least, to deal with AMJ Campbell on the international move contract. Some of the individuals I dealt with were not knowledgeable and were not trustworthy when they provided their responses and answers to my questions. Some would not tell me the truth when talking to them over the phone. Please note that when your sales representative hands over your move contract to another individual, they will almost disappear and avoid responding to your calls and emails. You will have to make sure the following is happening during the process of obtaining a price quote: - Always make the communication with the sales individual in writing (email). - Never agree on verbal terms. Always make them first made on writing. - Should you pack your loose items yourself, ensure the price quotation doesn't force you to use their packing materials and service. It is only possible to make this agreed upon before the scheduled pick-up day. - Should you opt out of destination service (door-to-door), you are only entitled to total loss insurance coverage. If you ask for enhanced full insurance, it is null and void by default. AMJ Campbell is willing to charge you for enhanced insurance without letting you know in a clear statement it is useless (you can't submit a claim the moment the container discharges at the destination port before opening the container). Always ensure the price quote includes the estimated price for each service instead of using the terms "Included" and "Excluded". They use these terms to their advantage to either increase the cost on the final bill or never lower the bill if it is the case. Let them come and make the assessment first. Don't send them the list of items before they come. The numbers they crunch in first will likely be the final bill, if not higher. Estimates always tend to have a higher value to protect them from underestimating the cost of the services.
