      After over 2 months of waiting for a response to our case where our flight was delayed an uncountable number of times causing us to miss part of our vacation, they responded with some cut 'n' paste ignoring more than half of the items stated in our case.

      Refused/ignored to refund for part of a resort stay that we DID NOT RECEIVE from Sunwing Vacations. *************************** Proceeding with chargeback and small claims litigation.

      Exactly, and that is why you are not understanding and this is entirely wrong! Again you are rushing and glancing at the ticket and responding to try and close tickets without understanding what is happening.

      If I purchased flight tickets with Sunwing and booked a hotel with another company, and the flight got delayed, and you had no handling of any hotel purchase, I would be awarded the compensation by the CTA for the flight delays ALONE! Flight delay compensation does not make up for the fact that you have ****** funds from me for OTHER services unrelated to flight travel, like a vacation stay at a resort. What if the flight was delayed 2 days? Or 3 days? Then what? This same fixed amount does not cover the price of even 1 missed day at the purchase of a resort stay which just so happens to have been purchased through you as well and has nothing to do with any flights, has nothing to do with the Air Passenger Protection Regulation, and has nothing to do with the CTA.

      You are just trying to trick me and deceive me like you are probably fooling all of your other customers in this same manner. I will proceed with chargebacks and small claims.

      The business comment is a false claim as no full compensation was received. You are blurring different concepts and racing at lightspeed without slowing down to understand what's going on with this case. Post-Travel through the ticket # also failed to understand. This review discusses a resort stay that was not received. Purchased very expensive hotel accommodations through you for 7 nights and only received 6 nights and you refuse to provide a refund for this difference.

      This has absolutely nothing to do with any flights and has nothing at all to do with any Air Passenger Protection Regulations. This review is regarding a hotel stay purchase for which service paid was not received.

      Slow down and stop to think and understand that this has nothing to do with any flights or scope of mandate for any airline industry-related bodies. Slow down.

      Booked in September a trip to meet 13 relatives from Scotland at the ************. Our flight was scheduled to leave Toronto at 9 am Saturday July 23rd and arrive at 1 pm Mexico time. Now just over two weeks out and after *** repeatedly for our tickets and criteria we were notified that the flight had been changed to a 9 am departure to 6 am with a stop over in Calgary for 2 plus hours and arrival time in Mexico of after 5 pm Mexico time. What was a 5 hour flight has now removed a complete day from our vacation and turned it in to over 12 hours in a plane. As I have paralysis in my left leg 5 hours was pushing it but we purchased the extra leg room seats (which are now unavailable) and would manage. However 13 hours is impossible. *** informed us our departure we get an additional 3 hours and leave at 3 pm instead of 12 pm... However the same 12 hour flight and won't arrive in Toronto till 3 am. So we now have to park and fly both ways as who would drop us off at that hour, transfer planes twice and basically have over 24 hours in a plane in one week. Ya I'll take the refund and never book with *** or sunwing again. As a matter of fact I cancelled my *** membership and the request for an insurance quote submitted last week.

      We flew from Vancouver to Cancun, our checked bags were opened, stuff were stolen from the luggage. So I complained to them and they replied they sre not liable!!!!

      I booked a trip for 3 from Vancouver to Mexico for October to November 2021 and was given the price drop guarantee. In September 2021 all 3 of us submitted our price drop guarantees as the price went down. To date we have not received our refunds. This is over 9 months. All three of us have made several phone calls and made a request through customer service. The only response is that they were dealing with a lot of complaints and would get back to us. *************************************************************** ***********

      Over 2 weeks have passed and aside from acknowledging the delay, no action has been taken. Instead they have tried to blame it on a different department. It seems only posting here gets some sort of response but no action or follow up.

      It only seems that I get any response when I post on this review. For transparency for any person who may be considering this review, Sunwing's response was to tell me a cheque has not been issued, that they will follow up on whether a cheque has been issued and that once a cheque is issued I can expect another 4-6 week delay until I receive it. My original claim was made 10 months ago and I completed my trip 8 months ago. There is no excuse for this delay and I question whether I will get any reimbursement or just continue to get told 'they're working on it'
