HI Can I retailer force the customer to pay the 1.9% fee that the store have to pay when paying by a credit card.Well Masse furniture in ******** wanted me to pay the fee when paying by credit card. The kitchen set was aprox. $900 including tax so I wanted to pay by my credit card to get my credit card points. The sales lady told me the fee is 1.9% which is $17.I told my wife I am walking out and she agreed, which is a matter of pricipal. As we were walking out, the sales lady said hold on, I will talk to the owner / manager. She had the owner on the phone, I was expecting that ok, we will waived the $17 fee. BUT NO, THE ***** LADY SAID HE`S WILLING TO GO HALF SO WE WILL PAY $8.50 EACH.Well, I think that I never felt so insulted in my life. I told my wife that let`s go home and we laft the store and the sales lady was walking behind us saying desperately ...ok...ok..we will pay the fee.We never bought the kitchen set. So for $8.50 the sales lady lost her commission because of the owner.*****************************, ******* .
