      I would strongly discourage you from using this company. They sent me an informal quote. The email literally said ballpark of $750. The technician came to my house spent two hours here did not clean up the mess he made when he was finished and did not even use a proper gas leak detector. I was billed the entire $750 plus tax. The invoice did not break down technician time, travel and materials used. I asked for an invoice detailing my charges prior to paying my bill (I like to see exactly how my money was spent ) and I was told I could not get one that I was charged what I was quoted.I told them I wasn't arguing with the price (although it definitely should have been lower). I just wanted to see exactly how my charges were accrued.After a few emails back and forth they sent me to a collection agency instead of disclosing how much they ripped me off in "travel" expenses.Anyway. I won't pay them until I get a detailed invoice and I suggest you find an alternative option for your heating and cooling services unless you want to get stuck doing the clean up work and paying the full bill.

      Just as the complaint says we sent him an informal quote—a quote is just that, a quote. We completed the work we said we would do and invoiced for the amount we discussed. We do not break down our invoices, we are a heating and cooling company, and without material, or labour the work would not be completed. As a successful and highly regarded HVAC company in North Bay Ontario, as you can see by our customer reviews, we run our business in a certain way. This customer tried to strong-arm our company to change our policies and procedures. This customer was happy to have the work done, and very passive-aggressive when it came to paying the bill. He refused to pay the bill and threatened to make a complaint and here we are. We did send him to collections as we did the work and he refused to pay the bill. We have been in business for 17 years and have great reviews and great customers, we are not here to “rip” anyone off. There was no complaint about this “mess” until we said his bill would be sent to collections. Our techs always clean up after themselves and therefore would not leave a mess behind. This customer is not a gas technician, therefore, would not know that we did a soap test, and followed all proper TSSA codes and regulations to install his gas line for his gas range that he did not pay for. We completed the work he agreed on, and as he had approved to go ahead with the given price, he can now pay his bill or deal with the collection company.

      We contracted Daves Heating to inspect and quote us on the installation of an air conditioner (we didnt have one before) in 2020. Our furnace was over 20 years old so its not a surprise that it needed replacement. The quote was very reasonable (compared with another local company) so we had them remove and install the new furnace and air conditioner. The installers were very professional, cleaned up after the work and took the time to answer all my questions concerning the install. They showed me the cracks in the furnace which is why it required replacement. I have recommended Daves Heating and Cooling to friends and family. Which reminds me....I need to have the units inspected in the spring. Cheers

      This company is owned by **** ******. I had this company quote a new fireplace installation which they did. They attended my property while it was under construction before quoting the job. When the fireplace arrived, it did not fit and they said they would cancel the job and refund. The problem is that the construction of the room was based on that particular fireplace so while it was great for them, it was not for us. They were the dealer of the fireplace and they clearly had no idea how to read drawings or specs. In the end, I asked for **** to come view a suggested solution to the problem that I determined and he refused to take 2 hours to come sort a problem that HE caused. Int he end, he just provided the fireplace and kept $3000 of our money in the install cost that he did not complete. He also refused to provide the chimney parts that I paid for so I had to buy them from another supplier who was very helpful in solving the issues. You should use ********************* instead of these ******.. I will make it my mission to tell any potential customers to stay clear of these guys. I have emails to show just how unprofessional and *** ****** **** himself is. This company will s**** you over as soon as it is not easy for them. You have been warned.
