Today I called Pollard Windows about the window I was cleaning and I accidentally allowed the top part of the window to come down too low. Consequently I could not raise it nor lower the bottom window. I was put through to a very pleasant man who tried to explain what I needed to do. When I was not sure of what he was having me to do, he offered to drop by and show me what needed to be done, if this should happen again. He came and showed me what to do and I am so very pleased that all is good now with my window. I am eighty years old and a widow living on my own and I certainly appreciated the way he dealt with my window problem. I would give this gentleman a 10, for his customer service and his kindness. *** *******

*** **** ......Windows fail over and over again........ Marco is great for replacements but now the sash is the only item warrantied. Now I have to drive all the way to Burlington and pick up the sash and bring it to a glass company to insert them... The quality of these windows are horrible. Up to my ninth window replacement . ** *** *** *************

Sorry for your experience. Unfortunately, we do not operate in the USA any longer. Sealed glass replacements can be purchased in your area through a local glass repair shop. Otherwise, pick up at our Burlington is your only other option for dealing direct.

POLLARD has the worst customer service! Marg- their " customer service manager" ** ** *** *** ****** ******** *****. She never replies and when she does it makes no sense. I replaced a window in my home with them 2 years ago, since then the seal cracked yet again- which cracked the window. Marg refuses to cover the seal under warranty because she says I would of have to have reported the seal broken before the crack happened. When I pointed out that the seal failure can result in a crack within minutes, she said " yes, this is why you should check the seals multiple times a day". Who has time to check every window in their house multiple times a day- especially when the window is only 2 years old? I went into their sales office and show a picture of the broken window to their installers who confirmed the seal was broken and it broke the window- Marg seems to think her own installers aren't telling the truth. ****** ** ********** * ***** *** ** *** ******* ******* ******* ** **** *****

Sorry for your experience and for the confusion regarding what is covered under warranty and what is not.

Seal failures and stress cracks are two separate issues. A failed seal allows moisture and humidity to seep into the air space between the glass panes in your window and causes issues with window visibility, commonly described as fogged glass. Our current warranty for seal failures is 20 years from the purchase date.

Cracks in your glass not caused by impact are generally considered to be stress cracks, a naturally occurring result of expanding and contracting glass due to temperature changes. Our warranty for stress cracks is one year from the purchase date.

I understand your issue has been resolved and repaired as per our warranty through our service department. Thank you.

Pollard window has a beyond HORRIBLE customer service I ever encountered. I called the specific person Shawna C., Senior customer sales rep, for several days already, and she's always not on her desk everytime. And everytime I called I live my Name, contact number so she could return my call, but still no success. I also try to look for an alternative to get in touch with any sales rep. I ask the person who answer (905) 634-xxxx, (kudoa to the person who answer from this number) to direct me to another sales rep who can help me..and again...voice mail....voice mail...and no return call. Very bad customer service...beyond HORRIBLE.

We understand your frustration. However, you are not our direct customer and you will need to speak to your builder regarding any outstanding issues and for them to initiate any service requests that are required at your new home.

After production delays with no contact unless we reached out to Pollard and the installer not showing up on the scheduled date, our windows were installed last week. The following issues remain unresolved and we have had no contact with Pollard since the installers left despite emails and phone calls left for our sales rep and customer service: 1. Patio door opens the wrong way. 2. several screens either didn't fit or didn't ship. 3. four basement windows were not installed. We're not sure if the installer didn't have them or if they didn't fit. He simply advised us before he left that our sales rep would call us. The sales rep did not make any attempt to contact us. With respect to the patio door, when our sales rep came in November, to do the quote it was raining so he and my husband confirmed the opening from the inside of the house (left to right). My husband advised the sales rep and the person who measured the windows that we wanted the same opening as the original door. Sales rep acknowledged and confirmed that the left to right opening from the inside is what would be ordered. What we were not aware of was that the direction of the opening from a production perspective is from the exterior of the house. I assume he wrote in his notes left to right and forgot that he was inside our house when making the note. Further, we just discovered that the remaining 10% that we owed and was only supposed to be charged to our credit card when the installation was complete was charged to our card on June 10th without our knowledge. *************************************************************** *********

A senior VP contacted us regarding the installation of the basement windows and a resolution for the patio door. We were advised that they would be installed in July. The quick response from customer service and the VP is greatly appreciated.

All issues have been resolved. We would now rate the company 4 stars based on the quality of the windows and satisfaction with the installation.
