  The front porch on the front of our Edwardian home had progressed to a sad state due to a long period of neglect and needed a complete restoration. Peter came by to discuss the work at hand and hear our expectations for bringing the porch back to as close as possible to its original form and look. He provided a competitive quote and a timeline suitable to meet our needs and budget. Work started on schedule and went well with Chris and Shaud handling all tasks with confidence, skill and a high level of professionalism. The project required that the porch floor and main support columns be replaced; newel posts manufactured on site; skirting made to match the period of the home; railings and balusters restored and readied for paint. One change order was required when we requested additional newel posts, railing and balusters be made for the stairs to match the rest of the porch. This was discussed and a price agreed upon which was all put in writing to be signed off prior to proceeding. A great process to avoid any end of project cost surprises. Peter was on hand to assist when required and checked in on a regular basis throughout the project to ensure all was going well. Overall the project went very well, drastically improved curb appeal and added value to our home. We would not hesitate to have Hammer & Castle tackle any project for our home.

  Huge shout out to Hammer and Castle. We retained their expertise to reno two bathrooms. They did not disappoint. The 1st bathroom required the completion of a partially started reno. They successfully updated while being able to match new cabinet with existing cabinets/hardware started 2 years prior. The updated bathroom now boasts a beautiful tiled shower with glass wall/door, gorgeous new flooring. It's lovely!! The 2nd bathroom was a total gut. They converted this horrible outdated washroom to a spa like showpiece....it's so elegant!! New tiled shower with glass door/walls, stand alone tub, gorgeous vanity and top of the line flooring...it's stunning!! From beginning to end our experience with Steph, Peter and team was positive. The design team very intuitive....an extremely good read on client's wish list. Prompted good discussions which resulted in good decisions. Our house was respected by construction team from the get go. Drop sheets everywhere and job site tidied nightly. Our personal space/time respected. Any concerns/questions responded to in timely fashion. Project started and completed in timeframe promised. That huge in itself. Look forward to working with Hammer & Castle on future projects.
