    The new tiny home I purchased was not built to code. The workmanship is atrocious. They installed used parts eg a combo washer/dryer manufactured in 2004, old bathtub, kitchen cupboards…
    The tiled shower is damaged from a botched glass door installation, the door sits out 1.5” from the base so the water would run on the floor. The hydro panel was built into the wall against code. They installed improper plumbing, the eavestrough was installed improperly so no rain went through the downspout but came out of 2 bad joins. The spec sheet showed R22 insulation but is only 1.5” thick, some walls had a thin plastic instead of vapour barrier & none of it was taped & sealed. The microwave was hanging off the wall as wrong screws were used. The A/C hoses for the mini split were put through the wall where you could see daylight as it wasn’t sealed properly. The plumbing for the water heater is visible & has 10 connectors instead of 4. It fell off the wall during the tow as the clips holding it weren’t adequate. This damaged the connection & water was spraying out. The bathroom door handle fell off along with the handle of the storage area & I’m not living in it yet.
    I have put so much time into trying to resolve the problems. The builder’s responses were, can your contractor fix it, damage must have been through the tow, that’s an easy fix. For the shower door not having the seal, I was offered a shower curtain & rod.
