I went to Soles in Motion, looking for sandals. I had called the week prior and was told, yes, we can help. I have a new AFO brace, and orthotics, as well as a long foot. I need help to be fitted for shoes and was sure they would be able to help me. I knew that they likely would not have my size in stock and would have to order it in, but I had shopped there before getting the brace, so I knew this was a service they provided. I wasn't there for even 5 minutes, hadn't tried on anything, or even looked at anything, and I was told that they have finished their ordering for the spring and would not be putting in any more orders until the fall. They made no attempt whatsoever to help me. I don't understand how a company can stop selling summer sandals, to people like me, halfway through May! I have seen companies online that sell my size, so I am dumbfounded as to why they can't order in my size. I feel ************* ******* *** ** ** **********, and hurt and offended that they made no effort to help me. Most other people can go out to buy sandals and come home with a pair the same day. I usually have to have my size ordered in, I understand that, but to be told that it is too late to order my size sandals, in the middle of May, is ridiculous. I am absolutely gutted as I have tried for hours online to find suitable sandals, with no luck. I need help. They are the only ones that could help, and they did not. The store manager took my number and said that he would talk to management, to ask if they could order in sandals for me, and that he would call me. He has not called. So now I have to go the summer with no sandals. Constantly being reminded that I am different and not deemed worthy of help by an organization that claims to be there to help people like me.

In response to your complaint, I sincerely apologize. As owner of Soles in Motion, you are definitely important to us and we strive to assist people with special footwear requirements. I am not sure what transpired, other than one of our new employees took our restriction on ordering sandals as a blanket directive. We cannot order sandals such as our fashion styles like Rieker, etc. as most are sold out at the supplier level and we cannot get them. Any medical brands such as Drew, Propet, etc can be ordered. Conrad, our Retail Manager, did call me as I was offsite, and when he tried to call he said it went directly to voicemail and he left a message. I would be more than happy to meet with you and find a sandal that would work.
