      I'm being generous by giving 2-stars! I moved 34km and Able Movers quoted and charged me close to $3K to pack and move my 2 bedroom apartment (even though the quote was nearly $3K they tried to add an additional $1K to the price when the move was completed but I refused to pay them $4K). The boxes they packed my items in had already been used by their company in a previous move and had been marked to indicate the items packed during that original use/move. Able Movers reused those boxes and did not remark the boxes so when my items arrived there was no way to tell what had been packed in each box (ie boxes marked 'china cabinet' were filled with blankets and miscellaneous items. Boxes marked kitchen had nothing from the kitchen inside) It was a nightmare to unpack and get settled. In addition they packed fragile items at the bottom of boxes and packed heavy items on the top so many things like dishes, wine glasses, and family heirlooms were smashed upon arrival. This was extremely disappointing not to mention some treasured items were destroyed. They also used a large 20' truck but the items/furniture were not stacked which would have required a much smaller truck and could have saved me money. I would NEVER used this company again. I hired them because I had used their predecessor originally in 2018 but since then the company was bought by the new owner and the service has definitely gone down hill. They're obviously trying to make a go of it in a tough market but cutting corners and poor service is no way to make a positive mark in the industry.
