This company was assigned to me through the NS Homewarming Program. They left holes in my walls from were they attemped to move my thermostat and large gaps around the "pony panel" I was recommended to receive a full upgrade from a fuse to breaker but MJM decided that it would be to much work -hence the pony panel. From day one there were problems with the heat pump itself. Because the installer was still in the area he came back the next day but did not actually look at the HP but told me that there was nothing wrong with my heat pump I just did not "understand how they worked" This was in late summer so I just shut it off and did not turn it on again until the cold weather. It could not keep up and my house was very cold. I sent multiple emails with videos to the company with out any satisfaction or response. I had to contact my MLA's office who in turn contacted the officials at the NS Homewarming Program to even get them to come out and look at the pump. When they did MJM were totally unprofessional, rude and dismissive of my problems. The "technician" that came out went as far as to put myself and a neighbor in the room with the pump, close the doors to the room put a blanket underneath the door turned the oil furnace up as high as it could go and set the HP on powerful. When I tried to question what and why he was doing this his response was "I do not know why you are trying to find a problem! Your original problem was you had no heat, now you have heat" I had spoken with the HP manufactuer twice and both times they agree with me that something is wrong and requested that I have the installers call them - they technician refused. They left without solving my issues and the HP still does not work correctly. Efficiency NS ultimately took them off my file as I said I did not want them back to my house. These guys should not be installing HPs & they definitly should not be on the approved list for Efficeincy NS - I would give 0 stars if I could

Just horrific. MJM Energy came and did a spray foam job on my home. They actually did a great job. The issue is that in order for me to proceed with the build, MJM needed to provide me with a “hot roof Objective Base Solution” document. This is a document required by inspectors to verify work is completed to code. After over 2 months, many emails and phone calls, nothing. This has cost me thousands in interest rates and insurance costs due to the over 2 month delay. As it stands, I am not allowed to move on with the build, and so my home sits, while I live in a 20 year old RV in the dead of a Canadian winter. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! Look elsewhere, as there are plenty of spray foam suppliers that respect their clients and will actually do their job.

This is the gist of what I posted on ****** Reviews. I would go there and look at the reviews before I engaged these folks, keeping in mind the positive ones are from a year ago. I'm not sure what's gone wrong in the meantime, but I totally agree with **** ****** and ****** ********, ***** ****** and ****** M. I got assigned to MJM through the ********** Nova Scotia Home Warming Program and had a horrible experience. If it wasn't one thing it was another; equipment not working, staff illness or whatever and cancelling at the last minute. The final straw was when they sent a young man mid-December who was beyond rude and hadn't a clue what he was doing. The relatively small project was way over his head so he left and that's the last dealings I will ever have with them. I, along with others, had a terrible experience with MJM Energy. I'm going to check into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I'm not sure if I can since the project was booked through ********** Nova Scotia. In the meantime: Buyer Beware!

I wish i had of read the reviews before i hired these people - They did the house next door that fell under the provincial grant, which i don't qualify for. They are also on the list for Provincial and Federal Grants. They need to be removed from those list immediately When i asked for a quote, first the guy who gave the quote did not come to the house he based his quote on a report that i had done in order to qualify for a federal grant. the young men that came to the house were an hour late arriving and said they had to stop for gas. there is a gas station less than 8 km from my house. they worked 40 to 45 minutes before taking an hour break then they worked another 40 to 45 minutes before taking the next break for an hour. Altogether the whole job maybe took 2 hours of the 4,5 hours they were on site the quote was for the whole house and not just a small portion of the house. they would not do the second story because they felt it was too wet and did not want to take a chance on slipping, Ok i can buy that when they started checking the house the front of the house was already insulated which i did not know when i hired them they only blew in insulation on 2 half walls and not the whole house the original bill $5,462.50 when i complained that they did less than half of what i was quoted on they agreed to reduce the bill by $500 at best it would be only half since they did less then half of the work PLease no one use these people ever
