  I had to move out of one place a few days before I took possession of the new place, so needed movers to pick up my stuff and hold it a couple days. This was arranged with an extra fee for 'storage' (though I was told it was likely that my belongings would remain on the truck). I was sent a contract, which I signed and promptly returned. Two weeks before my move I received a call telling me that moving my possessions from the truck into storage and then back onto the truck made it *two* moves, so the moving costs would be doubled. I was offered a 5% discount, ********** compared to the 95% increase, so I said I would go with a different company and requested a refund of my booking fee because I wasn't the one to break the contract. A week *after* my move I got another call asking if I wanted to go ahead with the move. I pointed out that I had (a) cancelled after they doubled the cost and (b) been waiting on a refund of my booking fee, given that they had broken the contract. I never heard back, never got a refund, and had to scramble to find movers that could fit me in with less than two weeks' notice and my atypical moving needs. ** * ***** **** **** **** *** ***** * ******

  When the two young men showed up they came only with a dolly and a flat dolly. No blankets. We had removed mirrors and headboard. We had also moved lots of things already. We helped out alot. We had to give some advice how to move the motorized bed frame and help We are both seniors moving from one floor to another using the elevator. My solid wood high boy dresser has some really deep scratches across the top. I have been phoning for 3 months to talk to the supervisor or person in charge. He’s been sick or I will pass it on or he’s been really busy. I have never received a call back. I want compensation or it fixed.

  *********** ** **** *** *** **** *** *** ******* ** **** ******** ** *** **** **** ******** * ** ******* **** ** ****** ** ******** ******** *** *** ***** **** ******** They came after 1 pm instead of the set time of 8 a.m. Leaving out many details, we estimated well over $2500 damage was done…a huge big tv screen cracked, a Dyson broken, bbq, water cooler, a bathroom cupboard, etc. etc. They did not return the elevator key to the building mgr, either. . The grand finale was at the end of the move around 1030 at night (a move that only took 2 loads and just a few blocks to travel), one of the movers laid a box on the stove and carelessly nudged the element on. The box caught on fire, destroying a box full of electronics. They demanded that they would not leave the apartment until over $1300 be paid…as were their instructions.. A complaint was filed within a week, pictures sent, the $50 paid to start a claim….and absolutely nothing has been resolved, in fact, it’s more like being ignored.   June 2022 I had booked a move with 2 Men and a Truck. On the assigned day, waited half hour, called the office and was told they were 3-4 hours behind schedule. I had no choice but to wait for them, however they still did not show up for my move. I had provided a $40 deposit, which was never refunded to me. This was a huge inconvenience for me. I had to wait 3 days for another mover to help me out, and sleep on an air mattress for 3 nights. I give them a zero - 0 - rating.
