  My comments here relate to the sales team for PPM out of ********, who have been offering services to the *********** area for several years. I hired them for roof and gutter cleaning for few years running and was happy with the service and pricing. Then something changed in 2024. Door-to-door sales **** started coming around spring and fall, pitching the same work as in the past but for MUCH more money. When I balked at the pricing, they would go away, let some time pass, and return again the same day with offers of discounts. Eventually, they would come back and back, saying they had picked up other jobs, and finally were willing to do the work for the price they had charged in the past. Last year, they started their "price negotiations" at $600 and came down as low as $350. I discovered they were also trying this on my elderly neighbour. I did some research and found an honest, reliable contractor who is now doing her roof and mine for a fair and consistent price, with a reasonable 10% annual inflation increase. This spring, PPM arrived at my door saying that my senior neighbour had *booked* with them and offered me a discount on the again very inflated price. This was an outright LIE, as I later confirmed with my neighbour that she had NOT booked. They set the "starting price" for her small roof and gutters at $1,300, and when she balked, they started on their "special discount" spiel saying they could do a $100 discount on that. Fortunately, she knew to send them packing. Earlier this spring I was called by phone **** for PPM, offering to do work for me again, and I CLEARLY and FIRMLY stated that I was angered by their predatory pricing and manipulative sales practices and will never hire them again. Yet again this spring they came around, using the same manipulative sales practices. It is time that people knew what these shady salespeople are doing.

  This review is not true and very misleading. I understand why you might not like price increases but we haven't done anything out of the ordinary. In fact, we had giving this client prices below market for the past several years at a great discount with pre-covid pricing. Another lie was that we didn't have her neighbors booked for work. We did in fact have the neighbors booked and we have them booked again for the fall. I don't understand why people choose to attack small business with ***** grudges like this. It's in very poor taste and there is no way for the company to defend itself. I would understand if business was done and the quality was poor but that's not the case. This is just a stubborn child who didn't get what they wanted and now decided to leave a bad review in response. Shame on you.

  This owner's statement that "we haven't done anything out of the ordinary" clearly shows that *** considers their predatory sales tactics just a part of doing business. An ethical company does not force potential customers to *guess* what the fair price of work really is, having to wait for the salesperson to knock at their door again and again with lower quotes until the *real* price for the work is revealed. Is it right that a senior or other vulnerable customer who doesn't understand ***'s manipulative "barter pricing" tactics will pay double or more for a comparable job than a customer who recognizes that the first quote is grossly inflated? My review is true word for word. My senior neighbour *DID NOT BOOK*; the *** sales *** specifically used her name in lying to me that she had, to try to entice me to book again. Did someone else in our neighbourhood book work with ***? Probably they did. I just hope they knew not to accept the first outrageous quote they were offered. The owner laughably responded "shame on me" for writing a review to warn others. Shame on YOU, ***, for the way you choose to do business.

  Dont use this company. Had approved quote and they showed up day of work without equipment to try to extort more money.

  Sorry for the unfortunate events that occurred with this job. An incorrect quote was given over a month prior to our visit. When we arrived to the property, the job was 4x more work than originally quoted. Homeowner demanded that we do the work quoted but we decided to cancel instead. Our apologies, please except a $100 credit towards any new services in the future.

  I had my windows cleaned by ******* of PPM and was very pleased with his work. He was polite, clear about what he would do and the cost. He came back when he said he would to do the work even though it was late in the day. He was very professional, encouraging me to walk around and check his work so that I was happy. I will definitely have him back to do some more work for me.

  Price's Property Maintenance really want to and does do an excellent job. I can vouch for this by the work they did on removing **** from our roof and cleaning up on a very unpleasant rainy day. They also did out gutters and twice came out at my request shortly afterwards (and at no extra cost) to clean out two of the downpipes which were clogged. They did this cheerfully and were pleasant to have around. We hired them after our neighbours were impressed with the work they did in cleaning their roof. So I can definitely recommend them.

  ***** came to my door and offered me a very reasonable price for taking care of the **** on my roof, and he and his partner finished the job that very day. They were quick, thorough and professional. I will certainly consider this company for any future maintenance issues I may have.

  I hired this company to clean my residential gutters. They showed up when they said they would. cleaned my gutters and answered my questions, they were polite and friendly. When I discovered problems with 2 downspouts the next day during a downpour both men came back no arguing and took the downspouts apart banged out the debris, that was inside where you couldn't see it, and put them back together and didn't charge anything extra, it was all covered under the original payment for gutter cleaning. This was excellent service and this company will be the one I use going forward.
