This school is a joke. They are not certified. I signed up for the Business Diploma program and on the website it said there were four to five textbooks included. They used the excuse of Covid to make all of them online except for one. Because I requested it in advance I was forced to sign a form stating that I would not be eligible for a refund or able to transfer funds to another program. I completed less than 10% of the program and did not even get to use the textbook. There is no other school that would blackmail you this way. The textbooks are irrelevant to the amount of coursework completed and no reason for this policy to exist. The school is a scam.

Hello: It is unfortunate that the student seems to have been reticent to provide her full name, as I am unable to find her in our records; nevertheless, I will invite her to contact me if she wishes to discuss her issue to arrive at a resolution satisfactory to her. During the pandemic, many publishers of academic texts converted to online editions --primarily to facilitate colleges and universities which were converting their programs to an online format. As such, ICS Canada was forced to adopt e-versions of certain textbooks; however we sent and continue to send those textbooks which are solely available in hardcopy. The *********************** Diploma is a comprehensive course, instructing the student on management theory, accounting, business mathematics, supply chain management and human resource management --to list a few topics. It has been used by many graduates over the years to gain entry-level positions in the field. The *** program is accepted by Employment and ****************** Canada as a vocational training program, eligible for a Tuition Tax Receipt. The student advises that she only completed "10% of the program." I am unsure as to why she did not continue --if she did not submit exams or if her program's expiration date was exceeded. As such, I will invite the student to e-mail me directly at: ************************** and provide her student number so that I could investigate her issue in detail. Thank you!

I signed up in 2019 for the Private Investigator Course and although it says Canadian recognized, received a T2202 in 2020, and applied to my taxes, CRA don't recognize this institution! Why send a T2202 if not recognized as an accredited institution?? Frustrating indeed. They also made an error and indicated 1 month of study which in fact it was a year from start to finish, my transcripts provide the actual info. How do they get recognized under ccra?

ICS Canada is ESDC approved as an educational institution for the purposes of issuing Tuition Tax Receipts; the student's information is filed electronically by the school to the *** in February. If ************ had paid at least $100 in tuition in 2020 and had given the school her SIN, her information would have been filed with the *** and she would simply have to complete her income tax return and claim the tuition amount; *** would have that information and enable the deduction through her SIN. If she also submitted the receipt from her student portal, this would have been rejected as the only file accepted by *** would have been the file the school files electronically. I verified that there had been a T2202 receipt for reference on **************** portal but it is no longer in evidence due to the time lag. However, this would indicate that the school would have filed her information electronically in 2021 for any tuition amounting to $100 or more paid in 2020.

Don't be fooled. They will sweet talk you and tell you all kinds of wonderful things but once into the course you may find that they were lying to you.I am 2+ years into a medical transcription course and have yet to see ANY material that actually applies to transcription. They are now trying to teach me how to use a fake electronic scheduler to learn how to schedule appointments. Coming off of a 23-year career managing dental offices I can say with absolute certainty that the transcriptionist DOES NOT make appointments in the office. I was promised that this course could comfortably be finished working around a full-time job, this is definitely NOT the case!!I am very disappointed and have expressed my disappointment to them, I was promised a call back from someone in the financial department, and 2 days later when I reached out to see why nobody had called I received a very cold generic type email that said they would be happy to cancel my course but regret to inform me there would be ZERO refund. Obviously, this is unacceptable and I am now exploring other avenues for a way to take them to task over their false advertising of what this course actually was. This feels very much like a case of getting someone hooked into the course and keeping all the relevant coursework for the very end forcing people to have to pay for extensions if they want to be able to complete the work. This is NOT the place you want to go for an education, not if you truly want to learn anything at all.

Dear BBB:I thank you for giving ICS Canada the opportunity to comment on the review of our Medical Transcriptionist program by *************************.**************** enrolment into the program was processed on 12/15/20; her latest exam was graded on 04/29/23. As she has had ample time to review the Program Outline which students can access as soon as they establish their student portals and can view on our website before enrolling, it seems perplexing that she is only now taking issue with the course structure.Regarding the program, ICS Canada has to assume that a new student has no prior knowledge of the particular field and subject; as such, we strive to provide our students with the comprehensive knowledge that they will need to succeed in entry-level positions. As these positions might vary with the needs of potential employers, we try to prepare our students with the skills necessary to be adaptable in the field. In regards to the medical transcription field, this may well involve helping in medical office administration functions.************** takes issue with what she feels is a lack of transcription study; the lessons concentrating on this area are in the last two sections of the program, including a graded project requiring the submission of various transcription reports. The school is confident that these lessons will adequately prepare the student for entry-level positions in the field.I am unsure of **************** desired resolution; however, she seems to focus on what she perceives as a lack of sufficient time in which to complete her program; this is something that can easily be addressed, as the school is willing to give ************** a free six-month extension to complete her program. In fact, had ************** addressed her concern to the schools **************************** (DRC), the extension would have been immediately granted.************** is an exemplary student and the school would certainly want her to graduate and achieve her goal. If she wishes to discuss her issue further, I invite her to contact me.Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention.Best regards!*************************** Coordinator, ICS Canada ****************************

I AM an exemplary student, thank you for acknowledging that, however the fact that it is not recognized that an exemplary student who probably knows what they are doing is struggling with the time line, what hope does someone who knows nothing going in have at finishing on time. The fact remains the timeline is unrealistic. It was mentioned that I waited a long time to make a comment, well, that was my mistake simply because I made the mistake of trusting you and the process but when I am halfway through a 6 month extension and still have not reached the transcription part of a transcription course I started to feel like I had been taken for a ride and began to get more and more upset with each passing day.I don't care how you lay out your course path, leave the good stuff to the end but, at the end of the day, the simple fact of the matter is that you advertise this to be comfortably completed in 2 years whilst working around a full time work schedule and that is just not true.I have asked for a simple refund, something I am sure I.C.S. has received before and I truly don't believe that fulfilling my request is such a hardship.I was misled and would like recompense for that. I was told that all I had to do was ask and a 6 month FREE extension would have been offered. Another lie, I reached out about this issue on the phone and was offered(grudgingly) 3 free months NOT 6.My trust has been broken and I don't think the response fits the problem, they have gone on the defensive right away which generally speaking indicates guilt, if what I am saying is untrue or incorrect why are they so upset about my request for a refund? If it is untrue, why are they so bothered?
