Important information
- Advertising Review:On November 8, 2023, BBB asked PocketPills to substantiate claims relating to performance that “50% of Canadians don't take their medications as prescribed" and "The average Canadian spends over $1,000 per year on prescription.20-25% of this cost goes towards pharmacy dispensing fees and markups" appearing in online advertising. BBB’s Code of Advertising requires advertisers to be prepared to substantiate such claims through independent scientific testing.
We also asked whether the business received permission to post other organization logos.
Finally, we asked the business about their promotional material. They claim "Download the Pocketpills app today and get 10% extra coverage through Better Business Bureau (Calgary) benefits when you complete sign-up". The business did respond and confirmed the offer but did not provide clarification in its advertising about the BBB Calgary relationship.
BBB is awaiting the business’ reply.
