To get started new distributors must obtain the sales literature portion of the distributor sales kit, which costs approximately $35 US. Purchase of the complete Amway Sales and Product Kit costing approximately $102 US is encouraged, but is not required. Distributors are not required to maintain any specific level of inventory. Earnings are based on performance. Each distributor is responsible for service to his or her customers. Product
guarantees are underwritten by Amway, but they are administered by individual distributors. If, for any reason, a distributor fails to live up to his or her service responsibility the consumer may contact Amway's home office for resolution of the problem.
