I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Philippine Airlines. The flight I had initially booked was scheduled to depart from ****** to ****** on September 4th 2023, with a subsequent connection to *********. Shockingly, I received notification of the cancellation of my September 4th flight only on September 3rd, leaving me with minimal time to make alternative arrangements. In my immediate response to the cancellation, I reached out to Philippine Airlines' customer service for assistance in rebooking my flight. They provided me with new flight details. However, upon arriving at the airport for check-in, I was met with the frustrating news that my ticket was deemed invalid, an utterly perplexing situation.Subsequently, when I contacted customer service once more, I encountered further challenges as they cited various reasons and expressed their inability to facilitate a flight change. Instead, I was instructed to seek resolution through my booking agency.Regrettably, I was left with no choice but to purchase a new ticket independently, a decision that came at a significant cost, nearly three times the price of my original booking. This entire ordeal has been both financially burdensome and mentally distressing.

We booked our tickets with PAL through their 1800 number. They sold us a ticket with one stop-over. The flight was supposed to leave Toronto ******* *** ******* ** *** to Vancouver airport. From Vancouver airport we were supposed to board *** ** *** to Manila. The travel date is Dec 20, 2022. Booking ref ******. The travellers are myself and my husband. On Dec 20.2022 we checked in and was advised flight will be delayed, they kept delaying the departure time every hour until 9pm when they decided to cancel the flight. So we went home. When I got home we called PAL to find another flight but all dates was sold out due to holidays season. The next day Dec 21 2022, I called and advised pAL to refund our ticket, i was instructed by agent to go to website and submit refund request, which I did. Surprisingly, we did not get billed until 22 June 2023! Why would you bill us if 1. ******* cancelled flight, *** ** *** also cancelled flight? 2. I already called to request refund and submitted refund request online? It is 23 aug 2023 and PAL has not processed our refund to this day.why would you bill us if you yourself cancelled flights? We are paying interest charge on our ******** ******* card, and PAL informed us we need to pay for cancellation fee and no show fee? We did not cancel, we were checked in, I have proof of boarding pass! How can we show up at Vancouver if ******* cancelled our flight!
