      I’ve recently had to cancel due to the wildfires situation, and the ban on travel in BC and the request made by the government for no out of province, campers to be in BC in order for firefighters and evacuees to have places to go. I did cancel at the time that these bands were in a place & contacted the owners of Wrights beach campsite and was told there would be no refund unless the particular trailer that I had rented was rented during the period that I had booked. I have no idea how I would ever know if that trailer was rented during that period or not regardless there is no refund being offered and we’re talking about an $800 sum of money. This is the worst business I’ve dealings with who claim to be British Columbian, and you would think they would want to help their fellow British Colombian’s in a serious situation, such as has happened this past summer. I will be seeking other avenues to get my money back, but I find this to be inconsiderate and far beyond what any business would want to have a future customer go through guaranteed my wife and I will not ever go to this beach campsite. Very Very disappointed

      Absolutely brutal. BC is under a state of emergency due to wildfires, and a non-essential travel order is in place -- to keep the roads clear and to allow evacuees accommodations if needed. However, the owners at Wrights have stated that their property falls outside of the zone, and is welcoming campers. The site appears to be on First Nations land (outside Provincial jurisdiction?), so that might be a reason for them trying to skirt the order. Because of this, they are refusing to refund campers affected by this order. They claim to have lots of space for evacuees, which makes me wonder if they're double-dipping on re-renting spots that people have already cancelled -- and pocketing the money. To force people to disobey an order, impact the communities' resources, and put themselves at risk of toxic smoke -- all for a cash-grab -- is unbelievable. How greedy, how insensitive, how opportunistic. Shame on the owners of Wrights -- you're losing customers left, right, and center. Absolutely brutal.
