    I fell into arrears a couple months ago. The company said they had sent me a registered letter which went to my old address in Ladysmith. To this day I have never even received it by email [which most companies would offer to do]. I know when I moved, I gave them a forwarding address on the mainland. I have been paying for storage since November 2021. I had asked verbally if they would accept full payment on September 12 and they said NO. I asked them what would happen to my stuff, and they said it would all go in the garbage. I have had to accept that's the plausible outcome, even though I have contacted a lawyer.

    This customer was granted several extensions prior to the last request. This customer also DID receive email correspondence and we have in writing that she did get her emails. There is no new address on file, and her belongings are currently up for auction as is stated in the signed contract as what will happen when the locker is seized. We generally wait 45 days before going to auction. This customer was in arrears for over 50 days and sent us confirmation that she was not in a position to pay for her rent. We also agreed to let her come and collect a filing cabinet with personal items in it. We followed the rules and gave this customer plenty of chances to pay with several promises to pay being made and broken.
